Here's an even better one: what role-playing game would they be most fond of?

Alistair: Toon.  Just the right place for flying cheese-eating dogs from the Anderfels.

Morrigan: Will insist it's all a waste of time, but if pressed will reluctantly play GURPS.  And then reveal that she can mini-max the hell out of her character.

Leliana: Blue Rose

Zevran: WoD LARPer.

Wynne: Has a huge Warhammer 40K army

Oghren: After getting thrown out of the LARP for physical contact, Oghren discovered Rifts.

Nathaniel Howe: Painstakingly hand-paints minis for his D&D games

Sigrun: Swashbuckling action games like Feng Shui or 7th Sea

Anders: Mage: The Awakening, naturally.

Velanna: In Nomine.  She only plays Malakim.

Justice: Cannot pretend to be other than he is.  He plays himself in Nobilis and Velanna's In Nomine games

Varric: Doesn't care what system, as long as he's the game master.

Fenris: All World of Darkness, all the time.

Isabela: Prefers pulp adventure or space opera games, like Adventure! or Star Wars.

Merrill: Call of Cthulhu.  And it's unnerving to play with her.

Aveline: Hero System

Wait! What does Sebastian play? What of Bethany? What of Carver?

Sebastian probably plays Bunnies and Burrows.

Ehem, well, I think Cullen would be like a cupcake... highly decorative on the outside, a bit hard, too. Soft and sweet on the inside :)

Cassandra ... Dark chocolate with pepper. You smell it and you're immediately captivated. Take a bite, and YOWZA! that has some kick to it! ...So you take another bite ;)

Cullen doesn't necessarily need to be a sugary food, does he?

He could be a fresh baguette: crunchy and a little tough on the outside, but the inside is warm and soft.

As for Cassandra, I can only think of a spicy pepper. Looks pretty, but if you aren't prepared, the spice will be too much for you to handle.

SEA URCHIN! UNI! SEA URCHIN! We should have a companion who is like raw sea urchin to eat. Buttery, enlivening, smooth, reassuring (some edible urchins are brainless hence it's less unethical to eat urchin).

Also, unsweetened chocolate in coffee. Bitter, smoldering, strengthening, heartening.

Mint in Middle Eastern yogurt. Tart, creamy, and makes it easier to breathe.
