New units maybe ? Bombers, okay, but Geth were already hard and no one continue to fight against them above silver. Reapers are now a joke with fire explosions and without magnet hand. Collectors are great, maybe just scions need a damage nerf. Dragoon is absolutely not so dangerous. Just learn to dodge.

New players who are worth their salt wont know any difference so there wont be any "learning curve". Vet players just have even more tools at their disposal to handle the new threats. Though they probably don't need them but nice to have all the same for freshness.

Now that we have the bomber, I think most of the annoying things about geth can be fixed without making the class too easy.
Camping is no longer a viable strategy, so...

So this is why you go down so quick out of cover.
And we just got an influx of new enemies that force you out of cover (Collectors, Dragoons, etc)...I've used more consumables in my last few games than I did in 20 games before.

Anyway, it doesn't seem to me like the added difficulty is sufficient to alter the learning curve that much. Those who want to play Gold+ should invest the required time in order to acquire the necessary skills. Before you start complaining about no-lifers: the academic year has started again, and the game came out last academic year. My duties haven't stopped me from becoming a Gold player, and neither will this DLC.

When I started out, which I did because of SP, I couldn't join a game to save my life with my N71, lvl 1 character. So, I had to solo bronze. With the current changes, people will get frustrated and, ultimately, play something else.

I second this. Removal of healthgate and shieldgate would make the Novaguard unplayable and I'm not getting downed that much more often on Gold. I have consciously perceived that the healthgate is still there.tictactucrac wrote...

False, Bioware has said that the way they fixed Vangaurd-Glitch was they changed the health gate mechanic(it also appaerently removed the immortal glitch) so shield gate is stll there its just they changed how health gate works.

I still think that this game is too easy. As an oldschool gamer I like being put against a challenge that requiers many many tries to finally complete it. Gold? Too easy. Platinum? Had a full extraction on 1st time ever playing this difficulty. I think they should add some kind of special boss that insta-kills you and has a LOT of health. A Reaper for example.

why don't you just handicap yourself, use inferior weapons, characters with little health...play Platinum.

I thought playing Vanguard on Insanity in SP was sufficient preparation for Gold. Boy, was I wrong. XDIR_the_Villain wrote...
Well another big problem is that when players finally do migrate from the SP, they tend to think they're playing the same game. Most are in for a rude awakening, then they scream the MP is too hard in the forums and people listen for some reason.

How did they change ? Fighting a scion : first shot > shield removed, full health (shield gate still perfectly active). Seconde shot > it remains a little part of health bar (health gate still perfectly active). Then i die because of the DoT if i don't use survival pack.

Are you playing on Gold+? What's your kit/build?
It doesn't change anything, even on silver a scion shot remove all 500/600/750 shielded kits.

I'd say that SP insanity is somewhere beyond MP silver but not quite up to gold. But
thats just my opinion

It does because of how shield/health gate works on Gold+ previously.
