While this is certainly true, the guy who does know if this is intended or not is sitting one room or, at most, one phone call away.Fox-snipe wrote...

I don't know what SalvationThroughDestruction got, but when I asked yesterday, I got a solid 'we're investigating, I personally don't know anything and you can make of this answer whatever you want'.IR_the_Villain wrote...

Just messaged Bryan, he refused to comment.(conspiracy emoticon)
Haha, did he actually write "no comment" or did he simply not respond?
Not very helpful either...
Bryan's right though, he's not on the balance/mechanics team, he does the maps. The most he can do is relay the message to the correct people. Even Eric may not be able to offer much of a statement since it's primarily the balance guy. I'm not sure if he's involved in the underlying code of the game which likely needs to be looked at.
Seriously, if a customer'd ask me about something weird after a patch(not that they do, but anyway...^^), I'd never answer with a lame 'I don't know, not my scope', I'd walk over to the guy that is maintaining this part of our software and simply ask. Not only because a customer asked me, but because I want to know if we messed something up somehow. I'd be curious, you know?
And then I'd get back to the customer and give them a friendly and helpful reply, outlining what I learned.
Long story short: I'm still underwhelmed with BioWare's handling of controversial topics. They're great when it comes to simple questions and positive feedback. But if there is something fishy, they always revert to stonewalling and silence.
There are far too few devs around anymore that are still 100% honest and open with their playerbase...
