You're right that sometimes it just is what it is.

Sometimes being snippy and acting hateful towards one another is just that, genuine dislike and irritation. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. It is easier in real life (for most people LOL) to distinguish between the rotten playfulness and acidy bickering because of eye contact and body language.

However him and Morrigan- I have no idea if that was sexual tension or just honest bickering. I once asked Mr. Gaider that in an old thread, and he said Alistair genuinely disliked her, so I am going to take his word for it.

However that sexual tension thing is the poooooweeeer of teh fanguuuurls who want to see hints in everything...even when they aren't there for real xD. But they will surely discover it, bet on it. It happens in every fandom with similar opposed characters. This is a phenomenon you can ever escape off, or beat dead with a stick.

Loghain doesn't want to do it. He insists of wanting to die along with the archdemon if you bring it up. You have to convince him otherwise. Alistair is pretty much in the same boat. The PC must convince him to do it.

Now... Riordan... he is unsuitable but if she was desperate enough maybe she'll go ask him to convince Alistair/Loghain.

Morrigan: I know what happens when the archdemon dies...
Riordan: What? *evil glance*
Morrigan: Let me finish..

My take on Mo & Al's relationship (for what is worth).



Mo knows what she needs to do when she meets up with these two - use her sexiness to seduce the dopey guy, and get her demon baby. Goody goody Al pisses her off, because he can look past the boobs hanging out of her shirt, and see her for the B**** that she is. She can tell that her plan is going nowhere fast with this one.



Then she sees the canoodaling statrting between FPC & Al - She asks him what his choice would be if he had to decide between saving the world, or the GW that he loved - and she "got her answer".



So now Mo see the new angle she needs to take - befriend the PC. I don't doubt that she developed true friendly feelings toward the FPC, but I think it was more like frenemies. I think she was jealous that the PC won Al's heart - not because she wanted Al, but girls being girls, she hated loosing to another girl. Mo would have been very happy for the PC & AL, if the PC was AL's second choice. I think that is why she gave the little dig about Al enjoying the ritual.



In the end, the PC & Mo knew they both used each other for what they needed, and when they said "live gloriously" at the end, they both probably muttered B**** under their breath.

She is obviously beutiful, you can't deny that. But speaking from a girls perspective, there are alot of hot guys out there that are total jerks, and that I can't stand.  They can't just dazzle me with their looks. 

Besides, the FPC is the most dazzaling creature in Thedus - if your playing a MPC,  Mo might seem more beutiful to him (AL), because he still didn't meet the best there isB)

I think they both enjoyed it.

Despite what might be said about their feelings for each other, they rarely displayed open hostility or hate in their interaction. The only cases of them being openly hostile are the dialog in front of Lothering, Morrigan asking Alistair why he's letting the PC lead and the discussion when female PC breaks up with Alistair.

The rest of their dialog usualy comes down to one trying to make the other uncomfortable.

Alistair openly admits that he finds Morrigan beautiful when he asks for your opinion about other companions and is even caught oggling her.

Morrigan for her part actually shows interest in Alistair's performance during sex with female PC, but the point when it's clear that she doesn't hate him is their discussion after Alistair's personal quest if he agreed to help his sister.
Morrigan is the only person, aside from the female PC, who warns Alistair of what kind of a person his sister truly is. The manner in which she does this isn't really compassionate, but it isn't spitefull or hatefull either.

There is no doubt that they'd never agree to sleep with each other under normal circumstances, but the Dark Ritual was a necessary evil for both of them. For Alistair it was saving the life of his lover and for Morrigan it was saving her friend, even if it meant hurting her.

Due to mutual physical attraction they both probably enjoyed the act of sex itself, but it was a night of passion without any emotion. The kind of thing that you may do under unusua circumstances, but once you wake up in the morning you'll go on your way and never look back on it.

Are we playing the same game?  LOL  It's often done in a joking way, but neither of them misses an opportunity to lambaste the other, either directly to their faces or in conversation.

He impregnated her, so the probability of him enjoying the act is very high. And I doubt that he physically managed to enjoy it, while mentally hating it. I don't think that's even possible unless Morrigan was doing something...bad.

If that's the only measuring... um, stick...  hehe... then we'd have to say that Loghain had a secret thing for Morrigan, too.  Or the male PC, regardless of whether he thought Morrigan was beautiful, a skank, or whether he's even heterosexual.

Fortunately for the warden, men's bodies are what they are.  Alistair's a healthy young man, there's really no mystery to it.

Ahhh, nothing says fun like a good ol' fashion hate-****. The kind you have with an ex who you are still lighting flaming bags of dog **** on their doorstep. Yes. It is totally possible to have a good time physically and sexually with someone you want to brutally mutilate on any other occasion.



I myself rather hope QAlistair did have some fun while making Morrigan Jr. Because the worst part of the ritual for me was asking him to do it in the first place. His reaction is too much. So I hope his hate sex with Morrigan is as awesome as the hate sex I remembver.

It doesn't have to be a secret thing. Leliana and Zevran enjoyed their foursome, but yet never really showed more interest to each other than that.
Obviously Loghain would enjoy himself with a woman like Morrigan (who wouldn't?). Or maybe he actually thought of his dead wife, who knows? lol 

My point was that I doubt Alistair was mentally hating it while doing the act. It can't work. Yes, the mental state of a guy is also important.
After the act, he might express disgust. But I find it unlikely he was actually disgusted during the act.

As for a homosexual male. Well if the PC acts in character, he would ask Loghain or Alistair to do it and not him. If the PC agrees to do it with Morrigan, then he is bi.
