Today I moved my Steam folder installation to a different partition in my hardrive following these official steps:
https://support.stea...php?p_faqid=231
After having done so, every time I get on Dragon Age: Origins the game keeps telling me my installations of Warden's Keep, The Stone Prisoner and the Blood Dragon Armor are unauthorized because I'm not logged in with an account that has purchased them.
Except I am, and this is getting extremely infuritating because I cannot access my save games.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm I guess the location of the DAOUpdater service got moved as well, and it can't start since its not where it used to be, perhaps try unregistering the service and or just reregister it.

I'm having the same problem only I bought the game through retail at Wal-Mart and I haven't moved a thing. One minute it's authorized and then I save and exit then later my account isn't authorized anymore. The only way I've found to work around it is to log out of the servers but your game will not include any DLC's either.

Yup, that's what it was. I checked the sticky immediately after making this thread and solved my problem by doing what you said. I then proceeded to feel like a huge idiot for not checking the stickies first.

I can't load my saved game because my DLC is suddenly "unauthorized." I also did not move any files. This has to be a problem with the server.

I have the same problem! I didn't move any files, but I can't load my game beacuse of "unauthorised" content error.

Unauthorized content is a common problem, usually caused the Dragon Age Origins Content Updater service not starting automatically.
Try manually starting the service, before you start the game, to see if this resolves your issues.
1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER
2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.
3.) Right click it and select START

See section 3.2.4 of this sticky It also has a lot of other information on how to get your DLC working.

Solved the problem. Simply run the game in admin mode.
Good luck to you all!

I've tried SO MANY things it's ridicilous!!!
I've reinstalled like 5 times too!
Why can't I just play the game when I bought the ULTIMATE edition at a retailer?! This is NOT an online game! BioWare stop this ridicilous requiremets to sync online if u can't get it working for ppl!!!
I want to buy a game and KNOW I'll be able to play it, not worry and loose HOURS because I can't get it to work!!!

Okay everyone I have had a continuing struggle with getting DAO to authorize my DLC. I am here to give you all answers that took me literaly days to find.
for those who have moved or have DAO installed on another drive other then C:\\ then read further
Question 1.
can you start the daupdatersvc.service.exe in your :\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\SteamApp\\Common\\Dragon Age Origins\\bin_ship, using the windows key+r typing service.msc to start the services and then finding Dragon Age Origins right clicking and selecting Start? If your having issues with that then follow the following steps
-Step 1.
-hit your windows key+R to start the run, then type in regedit.
-Step 2.
-once regedit is running look for the path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\services\\DAUdatersvc
Step 3.
-select: ImagePath, right click it and select Modify...
Step 4.
-find your path for the daupdatersvc.service.exe and input that info into the Value Data:
-click OK
Step 5.
-hit windows key+R to start the run cmd, then type service.msc
-in services once again find the service titled: Dragon Age Origins, right click it and go to properties
-in properties, find the tab Log On and click it
-select opition: Log On As: This Account
-click the browse button and when the window pops up type in your username for your account and click Check Names, then click OK
-enter your account password on both fields, then click Apply, then click OK
Step 6.
-Right click on the Dragon Age Origin services and select START.
Step 7.
-Final and last step, start your game and login and have fun.
Question 2.
Can you run the daudatersvc.services? If not follow the steps 5 through 7.
I hope this helps you all out, I know I was going crazy not getting my DLC working.

Nicarye, you are freaking awesome. Just one thing to note: its serviceS.msc, not service.msc.
Also DeltaJudge, its your windows login name, not your dragonage or bioware one.

Oh! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
After many, many uninstalls, reinstalls, copying folders and files...I found this thread and executed steps 1 through 7.
It works! And, it not only works directly from within the bin_ship directory (Application exe) but from within the Steam application!!!! All my downloadable content is there and I am authorized. Unbelievable.
It has been months since I have been able to actually play this...in fact, I have run through DAII twice in the meantime. I am so happy!
Now, will it hold? Or will I have to do this every time I want to play the game????

Well, first you could try the solutions in this thread. There is also a solutions round up thread pinned to the top of the PC help forum that links to several possible solutions. If you require further assistance, please see the READ FIRST thread also pinned to the top of this forum for posting guidelines. There are a number of things that can cause your problem. Without further information no one will be able to assist you.
If you do require further help, please use standard grammar and spelling. Attempting to slog through a wall of abbreviations such as wut, u and rly will make a number of the more regular people who offer help rage-quit before they can offer assistance.
