So like I went through with a throw away character to side with Branka (to get the badge, yay me) but Shale left me...

Is there a way to keep Shale and the Anvil?

Don't take Shale with you. If you have high approval with her you can convince her to stay. I have not done this myself though so dont know how high the approval needs to be and if you need persuade skill though.

I think that, if you have kept Shale happy and on your side until now, she (it?) should be waiting for you at the party camp. However, you cannot use her in your actual party until you have to talked to her and convinced her to stay. I have not tried it myself, but basically you have to convince Shale that your character made the right decision to side with Branka against Caridin.



It might be possible that if Shale's approval of you was already very low before the incident at the Anvil of the Void, she has just left completely, and there might not be any way to get her back. Sorry.

It helps to lie to her and say you don't know what happened to Caridin.
