Now...I know the DLC is pretty new but come on people this is easy to catch onto.

Scions are very very tough but upon dismemberment of the sacks on their backs(possibly even just 1) they are majorly debuffed.

Either use high precision weapons or use *gasp* tactics to creep behind them.

As soon as this happens I can guarentee are large drop in damage output and possibly less damage reduction(still testing but it seems like it).

Shoot the sacks and they should be as simple to kill as brutes.

I would, but whenever i see one, its usually facing me down a corridor or surrounded by troopers. No "tactics" can get you past that. But in all honesty, i really dont think they are overly bad. Theyre very slow, and concentrated fire kills them quite quick. The problem is that people arent sticking together on PUG.

Honestly, I had no idea about this. They constantly face forward and their a clusterf*ck of sacks/body pieces.

Plus, I've been playing the volus almost nonstop since I got him. I don't concentrate on enemies.

Take a high accuracy weapon to the top right bump and it will get blown off after enough damage even from the front. That should be enough as ive only broken that one.

You're wrong. There are plenty of tactics that can deal with that, and they're not even difficult.

More like basic shooter concepts 101

It's just above his left shoulder. Breaking one of them will also stun the Scion.

I never would have figured that if I wasn't told.

Or you can try what the intelligent players do, and do both.

Ok, try and run down a corridor at one while its shooting and spamming grenades at you. Im not a ******, i can play the game. Anyway, as i said in the half of my post that you seemed to have missed, i dont find them very hard to kill from the front

I've shot at the sacs, dind't realise it actualy debuffed them though... that's an interesting mechanic. If it makes their cannon less uber, they don't need any adjustments...just need to shoot their sacs first and foremost.

Woah wait a minute, so destroying the sacs actually lowers the damage they deal?

Also: Has any reason been given for their design change?

How did we go from this?

To this?
