The OP's question should have been should I preorder the game, if it was I would respond by saying no don't, after DA2 and ME3 I'll never recommend anyone to preorder any (not just Bioware) game again

2. How many of you simply want to skip DA2 and import straight into DA3?

3. How many of you will not bother importing a save file into Dragon Age 3?

I like DA2. Playing through it now with an Awakening import and will import it into DA3 (along with other imports).

I can sympathize. I rarely play a game more than once. I burned through Fable 2 twice, but that was the very first game I bought on the XBox 360 and was kind of enamored with it.

After enjoying another playthrough (my third) of Origins and a first-time playthrough of Awakening and all the other DLC's (Ultimate Edition), I was excited to sink my teeth into DA2 and prepare a save to import into DA3. But only a few hours in, I was already incredibly bored. From then on out, I was only be able to play for fifteen minutes at a time before turning it off. Boring, repetitive, and uneventful. These words describe how I felt while playing DA2.

In the middle of running errands for everyone in town during Act 2, I finally just gave up on the game entirely. This isn't something I do often. When I start a game, I almost always complete it. I had completed DA2 once before, and was somehow able to overlook all the bad design choices and lackluster gameplay mechanics. Maybe I was just really excited for the game or maybe it was hype, I don't know.

So, I have a few questions for BioWare and the community.

1. WIll I be able to import an Awakening save file into Dragon Age 3? (BioWare)

2. How many of you simply want to skip DA2 and import straight into DA3?

3. How many of you will not bother importing a save file into Dragon Age 3?

I enjoyed parts of Da2  more than Origins in some ways so sorry cant relate   to your post .I have  played both a few times.

The  only way I would not  buy  DA3 is if they turn it  into crap game  like Skyrim . If  their description of the game includes mention  of  Character development and romances as a core part of the game .

All  your questions are  basically the  same  this is just another  anti- Da2 thread  in reality.

Now If you  were talking about ME3  I could relate because i still haven't played a second full play through of that. Just play  DlC in hopes of more Ashley LI content really.(i  have /still play ME1 and Me2 multiple times not recently  in the past)

I didnt like awakeing only played it for about  30min or so  then  shut it down

Yes  I will be importing  saves into DA3 if applicable

Why should they spend money and time (time they need to work on the game) to do something you can do yourself?

Or to use a proverb: the mountain will not come to the prophet :P

2: Skip DA2? Heck no. I very much enjoyed DA2. The game had it's issues for sure but I don't hold to that whole "worst game ever" standpoint that some people have taken. Not at all.

3: If we can import save files, I'll import save files like nobody's business.

In general I never complete games more than once but I've just started my 4th play through of Origins, I'm slightly worried I'm becoming one of those uber nerds who plays the same game about 47 times. I'm enjoying it though, more than I enjoyed my first play through of DA2, which I couldn't bring myself to even finish due to the utterly tedious crapness of the whole thing. I'm only in Lothering but the game is already superior to DA2 in almost every single aspect, by a mile.

But yes to the OP and their questions:

2. How many of you simply want to skip DA2 and import straight into DA3?

Me! If DA3 shows me enough to want to give it a chance and it has an import option I would like to import from Origins/Awakening.

3. How many of you will not bother importing a save file into Dragon Age 3?

If we can only import from DA2 I'll skip it, one because I have no DA2 saves and secondly, I wouldn't want to import anything from that game.

Finish DA2 EpicBoot, it's not as bad as it seems. I know you can do it. Not to mention, you have what? At least a year before DA3 hits? You can finish DA2 atleast once.

I can relate. Just slug through it. Sure its a chore to play and the import won't have a huge effect on DA3, but at least its your import with all your headcanon.

Wait 'til it comes out and watch what people say. If it sounds good to you, get it. If not, don't. Fair?

After DA2 and ME3 I fear that what most people will do.

Considering how cynical and perfectionist most gamers are now, quite so.

See I got stuck in DA:O at the end but i was able to import my save into DA2 but just had the last few choices that i couldn't complete go to default. Its hopefully the same for DA3. You could import your DA2 game and just let the computer fill in the blanks so to speak. I really liked that feature.

...I would recommend either hiring it or loaning it from someone.

After DA2 and ME3, I'm never gonna preorder/buy at full price a game.

Since you already completed DA2 once, then why not just use that save game? I have also only completed DA2 once, and if I get DA3 I will use that save game. I can't complete the game again. The game is simply not worth the time.

I lost my old save when my hard drive died.

Try playing as a mage if you haven't, I found playing as a mage was insanely fun in DA2.

Lol, yes. Let me recover your GT and I will do it for free. I'd love to help out.
