Possible 'fix' would be change the armor to health+barrier/shield, then they an stay as-is. OR make them move AS SLOW as pyros.

I agree that it would be nice if they had a more complex AI, but I still think Cerberus is more fun to fight now than they were before. If you're going to camp, you now have to be intelligent about it as opposed to following the generally accepted strategy of "camp in the back of the map behind the counters".
And on that note it's been a lot easier to find maps other than white/glacier in matchmaking now, so I think its for the better.
I guess things are different on xbox. On PC I never encounter any camping/farming games other than FBWGG. Most gold games I join feature everyone running off in different directions all game looking for stuff to kill - I'd actually rather I met more campers as that'd presumably mean less cross-country revives.
Anyway, you seem to be suggesting that taking an AoE stagger weapon trivialises Dragoons, but I'm not sure how that makes camping any more intelligent. Also worth noting that many people playing silver won't have unlocked their Falcons or GPSes yet, and many more playing Gold won't have access to high level Scorpions or ULM V. Or might, y'know, want some more freedom in their loadout. I already vaguely dislike that Phantoms are so much effort unless you take one of the specialist "anti-phantom" sidearms.. and then they're trivial. Whoo.
Plus if you're a newish player, Dragoons are scary. Chances are you don't know what to do if you get stuff up close in your face, and the fact that they're totally silent, look suspiciously like teammates, and will stunLOCK you if they hit makes them all a bit overwhelming for players who haven't spent the amount of time in game that most of the people on this forum have.

They are not hard to take down but they are just 1 more reason to pack a shotgun.
Or a CC weapon like the Scorpion.
They don't really affect someone who build characters/classes in such a way as to deal with all of the factions on all of the maps. Any one of my characters can CC, but people who don't know how to make good character builds would probably suffer.Air Quotes wrote...

I never EVER camp. I farmed FBW like 5 times total and never willingly. Another CQC unit to close in faster was welcome, but not THAT fast, not that relentless and stupid. I mean they are as fast as Hunters, but still shoot you from range.
But they don't stunlock, can't cloak and their melee attacks are so incredibly slow that the only time they can't be avoided is if you didn't see the Dragoon running towards you.
Geth Hunters are much worse than Dragoons, and that's before you factor in all of the annoying bugs.

this. they seem fine on gold, but they pretty much steal the show in silver/bronze. a bit unbalanced. they should be slightly squishier on silver/bronze......... now geth bombers. bioware iis trolling console. small....fast.... if i was on pc, theyd be no big deal, but on xbox its a pain trying to take them down.known_hero wrote...
Nerf them for silver and bronze. Leave them alone on gold and platinum.

Eventually everyone will get used to them, right now they're hard because some teams haven't figured out how to fight them yet. Pumping their heads full of lead seems to stagger them enough for me.

See, or hear. They're silent. But they do actually stunlock, and though it's much easier to avoid than Geth Hunters, once one of them does stun you it can be hard to escape as there tends to be two or three wailing on you at once. A literal stun lock from which you cannot escape. But that only happened to me once (I was trying to revive someone who I thought was standing next to our smashdept, but it wasn't our smashdept - it was a Dragoon. And he had friends.), so I don't have much experience to analyse.
And yeah I'd way rather have Dragoons than Hunters.

They can stay fast, That's okay. But a bit slower. Also armor is fine. Cerberus needed a unit that can't stasised or stripped with Acolyte.
But they NEED to utilize tactics. Advance with the rest of Cerberus, take cover, and then when the time is right, try to flank you and melee you. But not just spawn and sprint at you like a T-1000 Terminator not giving a **** about anything. Leave that role to Geth Hunters.

Learn to adapt to them. And quit complaining, would you rather NOTHING be added and everything be the same? Be grateful for once.

The points are unrelated.
I brought up the AoE weapon because that is how I deal with crowds of them. I wanted to illustrate how versatile character/weapon/power combinations that can both inflict high single target damage, and CC aren't really affected by the addition of the Dragoon because they were capable of dealing with all of the enemy types to begin with.

Scorpions, Falcons, Geth Plasma Shotguns and Stasis are not the only ways to deal with Dragoons and Phantoms, those are just the easy ways that will allow every class to own them with no conscious effore on the player's part. Any class with a projectile power (almost every class in the game has one) can make a Phantom sit perfectly still, and then kill it with gunfire. The Phantom's AI is just that predictable. A Dragoon that decides to be bold, and run up to a player point blank can be stunned out of his melee attack with a melee of your own, a grenade, a power, weapon, or virtually everything else. I could only see them being the unstoppable juggernauts people on this forum make them seem if people are using Assault Rifles or SMGs without AP mods.

I agree. They're pretty much a Cerberus Trooper that can't be grabbed and can "Brute Charge". But their AI is dumb. Super aggressive, but all they do is run straight at you and try to charge. Like, they keep me on my toes vs. Cerberus, but Dragoons are more annoying and cheap to play against than clever and fun.Air Quotes wrote...

Personally, I'm liking the Collectors a lot more than the revamped factions. ATM they feel like they're everything the Reapers should've been.

Read the most of it, and the gist of it is is the dragoon getting hated on for being a good enemy, if an enemy is being frustrating and is disrupting your team then that's good design in my opinion.

They don't need to be changed to Health/Barrier. Cerberus needed a mid-tiered armored unit. Have you played Cerberus on Gold on a team with an Asari Adept before Retaliation dropped? Total cakewalk, right?

Nope, you're wrong. I used to play them with Batarin Soldier, balistic blade and melee all the phantoms, when the loose the barier they do run away, hide, recharge the bariers, it was fun fighting 4 of them on gold, when one was almost taken down and was running away I was playing with others and the first one come back. It was deadly but FUN, now the dragoons are more or less as-deadly-as-phantoms but definitly not fun.
