The Dragoons are frustrating, Bioware if you aren't aware of it...

They do not go easily on gold, pearticularly when they surround you in groups of 3 or 4 like I have encountered.AND WHEN THEY COME WITH COMPANY YOU'RE SCREWED.

So don't sell me that bs, back it up with a vid showing your awsomeness in GOLD or platinium.Or just GTFO


You obviously don't know who you're talking to. You are aware that this is the guy who got the first full extraction on Platinum, right?


Anyway, back on topic.... they are not hard to kill if you're using a good weapon. M-11 Wraith kills them with one shot to the head. ULM Scorpion to deal with his buddies if they decide they want to rush at me all at the same time.

If your powers cannot CC enemies, you should be using a weapon that can. If your powers cannot inflict high single target damage, you should be using a weapon that can. If you can CC, deal with all enemy defense types and inflict good single target damage then you can effectively stomp any enemy in the game.

and you are aware i got the lone wolf achievment already right? which means soloing 2 golds miniimum?
oh and i posted the videos of both on the furoms (TGI and Krogan fireball) oh and yeah i fully extracted form platinum befoe it was released to the public. plus teh fact i was a captain in the arelex speed run tournment posting sub 13 min time on jade gold and just over 13 mins on condor with restrictions we had. but clearly i'm a silver and bronze player :blink:

anyway with that said do i really need to make a video of how much of a pushover they are on gold compaared to phantoms? cause i will if need be I've never been killed by one that i can remmeber. I did get smashed once but was able to roll out of the heavy melle after wards and kill him be4 he got another smash off.

You do realize all CQC melle enmiees can be baited into an animation and dodged acooridngly while they look stupid missing and you can destory them?
Brutes, dragoons, centurians, maurders, can all be baited into looking stupid.

lol they are fast. but comng from someone who loves CQC i welcome it. i'd rather have a low armor guy rush at me (like a brute or dragoon) then a pahtom across the map sniping me while flipping with a DR so high a claymore to the head doens't kill them (they get 80% DR while dodging) and they block powers. dragoons go down easily. I can see them swarming you being an issue but 1 on 1 give me a dragoon over a pahntom every day. I usually carry a "phantom" weapon when playing Unknown or ceberus just in case. no other enemy makes me carry a special weapon for them

Too much of the design is meant to rat out farmers from their firebase white holes.

I'm with Air Quotes on this one. They need that Cerberus thinking & tactic quality to them. A measure of self preservation verses that Reaper fully indoctrinated drones and puppets. When a phantom get hit, she takes cover. That kind of AI mentality is needed. Keep the Cerberus theme consistent at least.

And Ashen Earth you have like a X on every ultra rare weapons.  For most of us, I think alittle more power cool down and slower movement on the Dragoon would do us good.

As a gethgineer they do keep me on my toes but it's still not all bad since I have the overload to buy me a bit of time to get some distance.

honestly i rarely do the support thing. I don't coordinate we all kinda play whatever classes and do our own thing (unless were speed running) but i come to do damage or try otu somehting new/funny.

I could see an issue with that though. I'm sure tehy have a weakness for support classes though. It just needs to be found.

Give me a support class to use on them and i'll try it out

Solo. Cerberus. Ranged 1 shot weapon. Sniper, no shotguns.

They're a pain in the arse if you get 2 upload objectives on London, by the end of wave 6 I was out of gel, ops packs and missiles... and had the 15 revives medal.

Still managed to get through to the end of wave 10 though and got the credits... Dragoons are basically only nasty on upload objectives.

If you can't see a Dragoon coming from a mile away (or worse, refuse to keep an eye for them like some people I've been playing with) than you deserve to get smashed.

They're probably the dumbest unit in the game; they literally run in a straight line. I don't see how people aren't trouncing them.

I could stomp 4 Dragoons at once, in a solo game with any class using uncommon/rare weapons if I so desired.

What separates me from the average player is that I build my characters in such a way as to deal with every enemy in the game effectively since I'm used to having to do everything myself and not having reliable squadmates. For someone like me, who already used the most versatile weapon/character combinations available the addition of the Dragoon is a non-issue because I could already murder every enemy in the game effortlessly before that. the Dragoon is nothing more than the Cerberus equivalent of a Geth Hunter with less annoying stunlock, no cloaking abilities and armor instead of shields/health.

But for people who haven't mastered basic concepts that they should have learned in Silver like "crowd control" I can see how Dragoons present a serious threat.

I found the Phoenix Vanguard dealt with them quite efficiently, mainly because he fights in the same way they fight.

They're designed to flush you out. I'm not seeing the problem with them. Yea, they look a bit goofy, but so does the phantom's standing stance and the husk's run.

You can cheese trough everything with enough patience and kiting. The question is - do you have fun? Do you feel challenged in a smart creative way? Or do you just grind? 

And with the Dragoon Bioware took the simplest route possible. Hmmm, what can we do? Lets just make a super fast unit that won't be slowed down by taking cover, that's is all knowing and seeing that disregards everything and just bum-rushes players until they or the Dragoon is dead. In that case we'll spawn another 3 and repeat.

This could've worked in 2002, but not in 2012. Games need to get better and not resort on cheap tactics and fake difficulty.

Flushing out with smart flanking when the situation is right would be fine. Flushing you out with banzai tactics is super goofy as you said.
