I've said it in another thread, but let me quote myself :P

"Let me see... fast as Usain Bolt and jumps too, pretty much can't be staggered but can stagger your entire team to death, has armor that is so heavy they can't be grabbed but still can jump dodge and sprint! Can fire from distance, moves in packs (with phantoms!), and has no delay on attacks!

Yep, Bioware is trolling us :P

Seriously this unit is a bad joke, and needs some serious balancing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "

In response to the bolded statement: 100% not true. Off the top of my head I can tell you Overload, Arc Grenades, Frag Grenades, and Proxy Mine all stagger. There are most certainly other ways to stagger them as well that I just can't think of.

And Ashen Earth you have like a X on every ultra rare weapons.  For most of us, I think alittle more power cool down and slower movement on the Dragoon would do us good.

I could stomp 4 Dragoons at once, in a solo game with any class using uncommon/rare weapons if I so desired.

What separates me from the average player is that I build my characters in such a way as to deal with every enemy in the game effectively since I'm used to having to do everything myself and not having reliable squadmates. For someone like me, who already used the most versatile weapon/character combinations available the addition of the Dragoon is a non-issue because I could already murder every enemy in the game effortlessly before that. the Dragoon is nothing more than the Cerberus equivalent of a Geth Hunter with less annoying stunlock, no cloaking abilities and armor instead of shields/health.

But for people who haven't mastered basic concepts that they should have learned in Silver like "crowd control" I can see how Dragoons present a serious threat.

Well I wasn't trying to be offensive or anything.  Maxed out ultra rare players always get the higher score, and I don't think their character build actually matter.  I see them using ammo power I and they still get top score.  But anyway, yeah, most PUGs can't do that.

@Air Quotes If you have such a problem with Dragoons how about not playing cerberus? We have 3 other enemy factions to choose from.

Unless you somehow make them bearable I, and I believe a lot of other players will avoid cerberus which leaves me with repares and collectors.

The very only character that can deal with them easly (of course my personal opinion) is Batarian Soldier with explosive balistic blade, because when it does explode it does stagger/stun them all so you can unload a pirahna in them. Really I hope you will do something about them in the upcomming balance changes or the player base will shrink soonish after the OMG-OMG-NEW-DLC-rush end.

And yes, this is another full-of-sorrow-and-grief thread. Don't **** about it but just join the sorrowville.

thay have like no armor. they go down like a 2 dollar **** on dollar night lol.

Clearly a silver player..or bronze.

They do not go easily on gold, pearticularly when they surround you in groups of 3 or 4 like I have encountered.AND WHEN THEY COME WITH COMPANY YOU'RE SCREWED.

So don't sell me that bs, back it up with a vid showing your awsomeness in GOLD or platinium.Or just GTFO

You obviously don't know who you're talking to. You are aware that this is the guy who got the first full extraction on Platinum, right?

Anyway, back on topic.... they are not hard to kill if you're using a good weapon. M-11 Wraith kills them with one shot to the head. ULM Scorpion to deal with his buddies if they decide they want to rush at me all at the same time.

If your powers cannot CC enemies, you should be using a weapon that can. If your powers cannot inflict high single target damage, you should be using a weapon that can. If you can CC, deal with all enemy defense types and inflict good single target damage then you can effectively stomp any enemy in the game.

Lol people don't know what they don't know.

and you are aware i got the lone wolf achievment already right? which means soloing 2 golds miniimum?
oh and i posted the videos of both on the furoms (TGI and Krogan fireball) oh and yeah i fully extracted form platinum befoe it was released to the public. plus teh fact i was a captain in the arelex speed run tournment posting sub 13 min time on jade gold and just over 13 mins on condor with restrictions we had. but clearly i'm a silver and bronze player
you must not post on here much lol

anyway with that said do i really need to make a video of how much of a pushover they are on gold compaared to phantoms? cause i will if need be I've never been killed by one that i can remmeber. I did get smashed once but was able to roll out of the heavy melle after wards and kill him be4 he got another smash off.

You do realize all CQC melle enmiees can be baited into an animation and dodged acooridngly while they look stupid missing and you can destory them?
Brutes, dragoons, centurians, maurders, can all be baited into looking stupid.

I have more fun fighting Cerberus now than I did before, now that my useless PUG squadmates are forced to actually do something other than hide in the back of the map pretending to kill enemies.

The Dragoon could definitely be better, but I still think Cerberus now is preferrable to what they were before. For the first time since launch I'm actually seeing varied tactics, and maps other than Firebase White/Glacier in PUGs.

Yeah, Dragoons are just too mobile, are extremely hard to stagger, and rove in packs.

Also, what's up with all the freaking Guardians that spawn now? I was playing a Silver match as a Slayer and on Wave 10 I ran into a group of 5 or 6 Guardians all huddled together. Needless to say I died almost instantly.

I'm just pissed that BioWare actually thought farming was such a bad thing that they had to punish everyone by adding new enemies whose sole purpose is to stop you from camping and ruin the "farming" maps so that they're generally harder to play on, particularly Glacier. Literally no other developer I know has ever thought that a non-exploitative way people play is worth attacking through constant balance changes and patches. Ridiculous.

IRL Dragoons rush in/flank you and try to flush you or disperse you. People are so suprised by the tactics of the dragoons -.- but the biggest problem I have is at a distance they act/look like assault troopers or centurions(compared to the phantom with the crouched stance) so I ignore it and end up with 5 of them at close distance. Granted I have been playing the sandstorm map alot :D

Flushing out with smart flanking when the situation is right would be fine. Flushing you out with banzai tactics is super goofy as you said.

They're no more aggressive than most players. Also, seeing how every other unit forces the player into cover, an overbearingly aggressive unit is just what the Cerbs needed. He's like their faster, squishier Pyro that can't kill as fast.

I don't know man,  I would've gotten mine maxed out if I didn't spend a month and half playing Skyrim.  And the grass is always greener on the otherside.  And beside, how would you know it's characters build and not the weapons, when you don't have the weapons maxed yourself to compare things?

I care about scoreboard for performance man, I'm gunning for max manifest myself just for those shiny ultras.  I guess if I still don't get top score then, I'll know my build was all wrong.

Yep, now every single faction is all about rushing you and flushing you out of cover. Also they all, except the Geth, have the same stomping and sync-kill capabilities too.

It's funny that at first the Reapers were by far the toughest enemy, then through "balance" changes it became the Geth and now after adding the new Geth and Cerberus units and the Collectors they're the easiest.

They HAD to do it better. And in a not such obvious and cheap anti-camper way. I don't like campers myself, but when you can't even have a moment to reload your SR in CLOAK without a pack of  Dragoons apprearing out nowhere to melee you is cheesy.

I do believe that Dragoons will get slowed down. They have to do at least that. They already don't take cover, so this ludicrous speed is over doing it by a lot.
