TBH a system where we just select our plot flags at the beginning of DA3 would solve a lot of headaches. I can't count how many times I've dug into gff editors and the debug menu for DA2 just to get Nathaniel's damned quest to trigger correctly.

Depends on whether they fix the import bugs ><

Just wanted to make sure that everything I did in Drago Age: Orgins and Dragon Age 2 matters in Inquisition. Like if my Warden died and ****. That all matters correct?
No, it doesn't matter.

However, they have confirmed that you will be able to import your saves from previous games, so it's safe to assume your decisions will matter to some extent. We just don't know the extent of it, yet.

Not only does that scream metagame but no one new to the franchise would bother playing origins or da2, which means they'd miss out on a ton of lore and back story, which means they'll rush to flood the forum with newbie questions such as "What is a grey warden?" and Ooooo I feel dizzy just thinking about it.

Oh no, metagame. Quick, call the RP police
You have to metagame anyway in DA2 (modding save files and the like) just to get a correct import. And a lot of people play on console--monkeying around with save files and debug menus is either not an option or way more trouble than it's worth.
Also, just because you're not willing to be welcoming or accomodating of new entrances to the DA franchise doesn't mean the rest of us aren't.

Then just have the selection menu pop up if you are importing. Like a safety net.

I'd prefer a crop of new, enthusiastic player asking questions I find basic over seeing nothing but the same old faces complaining about the same I've read about for seven years now.

*Phew* I was worried there for a sec till I saw complaining, then I knew I was in the clear :innocent:
