Australia won the first test by more than 170 runs!

Shane Watson won man of the match, I thought the young Pakistani fast bowler (forgot his name) should have won it with his five wickets in the second innings.

Any other Cricket fans out there?

Never really gotten into cricket. My brother played it for a few years though.

If Pakistan actually bothered in the first innings they could have made a match of this. Also Pakistanis need Younis Khan back and someone should tell them this is not the 20/20's.

Younis Khan is coming back for the second test. Hopefully he'll put some quality into their batting line-up. I hate the way politics plays a role in who plays for the sub-continent teams. They won't give him the captaincy back though.



I was really impressed by their bowlers considering they're still young for cricketers.

I hear you, as I am originally from India myself. Preference is usually given to the rich folk if you know what I mean.

I think that's his name, the teenager with the headband.  He should be a great bowler if he doesn't get burnt out to early.  I also forgot that Watson made 90+ in the first innings, that combined with his lone stand in the second innings means he probably does deserve the man of the match.

Apparently It's bad for cricket to allow a team that has demonstrated bad fielding to win. The PAK's wicket keeper dropped Hussey 3 times on the 4th Day.

That's the spirit of the game, nothing goes unpunished except the off field Bad Behaviour of the players that is normally associated with "Stars".

He drops four catches and then gets dropped from the team. 
Didn't do much with the bat either.

Bad behaviour off field gets the Aussie players punished. Remember Andrew Symonds?

He kept getting drunk and kept missing team meetings.  Cricket Australia got sick of it and sacked him. That's off field bad behaviour if anything is.

Actually your further away from the point. What you mentioned has to do with cricket? Anyone gets droped if you miss training.

Besides I was talking about the reacist comment debacle he's been going through.

Lol... A standard Test match of Cricket lasts for up to five days. There is a one day version and also a 3-4 hour version. Most fans like the Test games most 'cause the others have little or no strategy/tactics to them compared to a test match.

so do they just stop the game after so many hours then resume again the following day? how long does a game last per each of those days?

 Yeah, and games last all day.

Start at 10am.

Have a half hour lunch break.

Have a mid-afternoon break.

Finish when the light is too dim or the required amount of overs have been bowled (5-6pm).

Continue at 10am the next day...
