Is there a way to get yourself selected as King?  I sided with Harrowmount at first but through the proving forwarded myself.  Now Dulin seems to think the proovings isn't over... though it is... and I am at a lost for what to do?  do I need to backtrack?

No way to become Dwarven King.  I don't know what's up with your provings, though.  Have you talked to the other fighters, yet?

Harrowmont might select you as his heir in the epilogue once you finish the game, or so I've heard. That should be the closest you can get to it ^^

No idea about the provings, haven't bugged out on me (yet!).

Yes I did talk to and resolved the other two fighter's problem, yet I never chose an option that tied myself to Harrowmont... I guess it might be a glitch... oh well, will load an earlier save and tie my toon to Harrowmont more strongly.

Did you beat the full team of four fighters? That is the last fight in the provings. Sorry if you did just makeing shure. Also maybe try talking to the Provings Master again? Maybe some post match speach that will flag it as done. Best I can think of.
