I think it could work for rogue or mage armor. Sure rogues get hit too, but it's mostly about being faster than the other guy. You could certainly have the sort of skin showing that Fenris had with his, er, armor, or even the Carver-type sleeveless tunic.

If that's the case, then I suggest this as male armour.

Oh god. You mean like Skyrim's daedric armor?

Pffft yeah um I'd rather not look like something that should be 30 stories high and on power rangers.

I support strategically placed leaf "armor" in DA3.

Lol. Place it strategically over your enemy's eyes and then stab them in the heart.

It doesn't matter if you naked if they can't see you.

I for one, am sick and tired of the blatant sexism going on in fantasy RPGs.

Women get to wear iron bras, and their armor rating skyrockets, while men try to wear less clothing, and we suffer for it! This is ridiculous! I dream of a world where we don't discriminate, and we men can proudly ride into battle with our armor-plated thongs.

I want to see my rippling muscles/bulge combo when I fight, and I want to have decent armor ratings while doing so.

Make it happen Bioware.

I want realistic armor.

That pretty much sums it up.

Whenever you design a piece of armor, ask yourself will this work in reality?

Did Joan of Arc wear a bikini chainmail to battle? Did Genghis Khan wear giant shoulder spike plates as he marched to war?

I know it's a fantasy and Bioware wants iconic but lets be honest... armor grounded in realism do look cooler than even the fanciest garbage.

Just compare:

Yes! Because of the way its cut, he'll also have an easier time removing them running away from enemies!

Agreed.

People will argue and say "if I wanted realism I wouldn't play a fantasy game," but I guess some people don't see a difference between the realistic and the ridiculous. Fatantasy must be grounded on realism, otherwise it's just too ridiculous to be taken seriously. If my rogue doesn't wear proper armor, then she's just walking around waiting for her lady bits to be chopped up. I, for one, would rather have my rogue nice and guarded rather than be exposed. You want to be wear less clothing? That's cool, but safety should be the price to pay.
