Female Turians!

What's the single thing we know about them? They have head fringes.

Garrus: "If you were Turian, I'd be complementing your fringe or your waist..."

What's the one thing they DON'T have in the game? Head fringes.

Come on Bioware...

Fringe =/= Crest

Someone just told me she's a squadmate, was that at all confirmed?

I think these will answer your question (leaked on a French mass effect site):

...I'm not entirely sure what your intent here was?

Female Turians are said to have head fringes as stated by Garrus during his romance arc.

Garrus: "If you were Turian, I'd be complementing your waist or your fringe. So... your, uhh, hair looks good. And your waist is... very supportive."

Unless Garrus is suddenly bisexual or confusing Fem!Shepard for a male or some nonsense, This contradicts previously stated facts about what female Turians look like.

Considering the mass of contradictions that got Bioware in hot water with the fans the first time around, I'd think they'd learn to NOT CONTRADICT THEMSELVES.

The ice they're standing on is absurdly thin and they can't risk cracking it anymore after Dragon Age II and Mass Effect 3.

To be honest, I find the design of the FemTurian original enough that the fringe comment can be handwaved away as Garrus just meaning female Turians have a far smaller fringe than male Turians (even if it's practically non-existant).

Besides, I don't recall him saying that fringe was just what the spike pertrusions on the top were called. Fringe could also mean the ridges on the sides of their heads, or the thin exo-skelatal layer on the top of her head.

I guess we have to take it that garrus meant the forehead spikey bit? I dunno *shrugs* Anyway I think she looks awesome despite that.

Well it's about time. Considering they were cut from ME1, due to time constraints. Just took 6 years to fix that problem.

A shorter fringe than the males is what I expected and is sort of, kind of consistent with the comics. Sticks to the lore and looks good. I also like how the hood seems to indicate that females aren't as protected on the back of the head as the males. Small differences that mostly make sense. Can't wait to meet her.

The comics?

You mean the comics that portray male Turians with most human-esque anatomy and states that the Quarian's conflict with the Geth happened thounsands of years ago and not 300 like stated many times in the game?

I hope she sort of sounds like Mystique in the first two X-Men movies.

XDD At least the Garrus Homeworlds comic had pretty decent turian art, even if I don't like the inking job. His mom makes an appearance there. (and young!Garrus with what looks like shorter fringe)

Even though I have small problems with this female turian, I didn't like any of the fan-made versions I saw.

We have NO confermation that this female turian, Nyreen, will even be a fully recrutible squadmate, much less an IL.
Besides, we already have a turian pairing. Well, for FemShep, but does MaleShep REALLY need another LI?
I mean:

1. Tali
2. Ashley
3. Jack
4. Miranda
Non-squad LI's
1. Cortez

FemShep has:
1. Garrus
2. Thane (Dies)
3. Jacob (Breaks-up)
Non-squad LI's
2. Traynor

Avalible to both.
1. Liara
2. Kaiden
3. Samara (Incomplete)
Non-squad LI's
1. Kelly
2. Diana

If anything, the FemShep needs another LI squad-mate, since the ONLY ones on the squads that ever work out are Garrus, Kaiden, and Liara. (Not counting the Non-crew LI's, that is)

8.40-9.00

I hate to bring this up, but on the other thread got no responses.

Do I see boobs on Nyreen or does it look that way only because of the lighting?

I think it's the lighting. Her chest looks flat from the side.

So the problem with Nyreen being a LI to both male and female Shepard is...?

It couls be her armor. Yurians are of avian descent and thus don't have breasts.

Ugh, they are avian INSPIRED not of descent. There's lots of NON-avian qualities to turians. Do you expect them to fly and lay eggs or chirp as well?

I mean they don't have mammary glands, and thus no boobs.
