To all those making making a stink about Nyreen's boobs, show me the rule that says fictional alien females can't have ******. Oh there is no such rule? Fictional alien females can look however their creators want then to look? Well if that's the case STFU!

Avians. Evolution. Logic. Explain. Please.

And if this was reality all that would mean something.

I forgot, sense is a concept not found in fiction.

Also, @Envy. What the **** bioware. Why do they make it so blatantly humanized for sexual dimorphism? Are they seriously that afraid of negative feedback because it would look to alien? Christ, THESE ARE ALIENS, NOT HUMANS.

Hey, at least its not a recycled Turian model wrapped in a burqa.

And Mass Effect attempts to follow reality, with their own twist (biotics+eezo+mass effect being the additions that make the basis of the universe's tech.)  Turians are avian, and their mouths wouldn't really be great to suckle for breast milk.  Lacking logic kills science fiction and stories for me.   If logic is not present, then there's no reason to follow it.

i concur logic makes me think something like this could actually happen in our future which makes it that much more interesting

honestly a game that is logically sound makes me more interested in it because its not as far fetched i mean it takes place in the future with our Galaxy and the logic of the Turians are flawed they are evolved from birds as said in game its not logical for the Turian females to have breasts because birds do not have visible breasts. if a game is illogical it detracts from the enjoyment you can have well playing

That's why series like Mass Effect and Deus Ex are some of my top favorites. It's not just some fantasy that'll never be lived, it's something you actually might see happening somewhere down the road, even if it may be beyond our lifetimes.

however when they repeatedly say turians are similar to birds then all of a sudden the Females have protruding breasts it throws that away. i believe this was a horrible idea it might not ruin the story but looking at someone we have always thought of as Birds having visiable breasts will no doubt and has ruined female turians for me

Thorax and Sternum

Overlying flaps projecting off the ribs called uncinate processes help to stiffen the rib cage so it will not collapse during the powerful strokes required for flight. The sternum is the highly modified breastbone. In flying and swimming birds the keel is enlarged for flight muscle attachment. Flightless birds such as Ostriches have a sternum without a keel.

Image IPB

Now extend that conceptually on a humanoid form, and you're going to have to widen the xiphoid process to have the pronounced chest plate-like sternum that turians have. Pull that down to a more demure, feminine form, put her in robes even the curvaceous Kasumi might find somewhat constricting and view it through the eyes of beings used to seeing "funny bumps" at that point of a feminine body and you have a boatload of drama llamaz.

i still believe we would not see the protusions its like having a bird stand up straight their breast bone remains the same it doesn't have to change to evolve

I like your explanation far better than: "Boobs because STFU"

Thanks for your time.

I guess if you believe the Starbrat you can believe it's cause birds can have breatsbumps that Bioware had no choice but to make female turians that way.

Yes, I know turians have extended xiphoid processes. Not sure what your point is here.

Honestly I can't be bothered to get worked up about boobs or hoodies or ridiculous armour. I'll take whatever we can get. There's no room for nitpicking, this is the THIRD game and we're only now seeing a female in some DLC.
