Interesting...
I was thinking back before ME3 was released: back then there was this rumor about a female companion called "Vigilante"...
Could this be a reworking of the original idea?

leonia42 wrote...

It's worth noting that Weekes clarified on Twitter sometime ago that turians give live birth so.. maybe not entirely mammals but not entirely avian either.

I always got that to mean Turians might be ovoviviparous...

The Vigilante was gleaned from an actress who put it on her resume, people assumed she would be a voice actor or face scan model.  It turns out she was the actor with the omni tool in the live action trailer that came out before me3 launched.

This is really great news, considering how ME3 have treated most things female. And if she against all odds would be the one Garrus fought with... amongst things, I want my Shep to be able to punch her if she tries at him again. o.o

But sheesh... if she's in a hood and robe. For god's sake, that might make things even worse. Dodging the female alien look again by covering it up?

Hmm, interesting video. I especially loved it when the lady said, "Mass 3 Effect Omega." Sounds like something that would be said in a Japanese advertisement. "BUY MASS 3 EFFECT OMEGA TODAY!"

It would be cool if a FemTurian turn out to be a Council Spectre.

Shepard meets so few of his colleagues in his travels. It's time for BioWare to re-introduce their importance and relevance. It is too late for the main game, but maybe not for DLC side stories.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if the one female turian they give us is the one Garrus told us about? 'Reach and flexibility'?
Completely unlikely I know, but I would kill to see FemShep's reaction.

Yup, male model, female voice and sh*t-ton of robes. You know, they did that with Krogan, so, Artistic Integrity.

I'd rather meet Solana Vakarian, honestly.

I forgot, did she and their mum get off Palaven?

The mom is never mentioned in ME3
In ME2, it's revealed she has a brain disese, and that it is at terminal levels by the Suicide Mission. Garrus actually sent in samples of collector tissue and tech, curtosy of Mordin, to see if anything in their modified gene structure, which has made them immune to all known diseases, could reverse or cure her, or at the very least, imunize her contition from worsining. This is the message, unlocked by visiting the Shadow Broker Dossiers Terminal after going through the Omega 4 relay: (Note: Garrus must have survived for this message to be visable)
Last mail message received before Omega 4 relay jump:
Mr. Vakarian,
On behalf of the Helos Medical Institute, I would like to thank
you for your efforts. It has been understandably difficult to get Collector tissue, given the sensitive situation on the human colonies, so the
samples you sent to us have been extremely helpful. Please also offer my
sincere thanks to Dr. Solus--I understand he made some calls to the Special Tasks Group, and as a result, our corporate clearance was upgraded.
Your concern about the Corpalis Syndrome is well-founded. While
rare, it's an ugly disease. The neurological degeneration is both
difficult to witness and nearly impossible to halt. We are in fact
working on some test trials for a new treatment, and I believe that with
our new STG clearance, we can get all fees for the trial members waived
as a governmental cooperation effort with the Turian Hierarchy.
Thank you again for your assistance. Donations like these help
keep us running. Per your request, we will keep your donations strictly
anonymous.
Sincerely,
Dr. Jelith Kieron
Helos Medical Institute

This message indicates that whoever has the disease is a turian, and obviously someone close to Garrus, as he would not go through such lengths for anyone else.

And another message reads:

Last text exchange before Omega 4 Relay Jump:
Garrus Vakarian (Location: Normandy SR-2)
Solana Vakarian (Location: Palaven)
22:08: Garrus :Hey, glad I caught you.
22:10: Solana :Just about to head to bed. Late my time. Where are you?
22:10: Garrus :Come on, you know I can't tell you that. Not a secure channel.
22:12: Solana :Oh please, Garrus. You don't have to be all secretive. Illium?
22:12: Garrus :Give it up, Sol.
22:13: Solana :You're one to talk. Still playing at Spectre, even after all these years.
22:16: Garrus :How's Mom?
22:16: Solana :Last round of treatments didn't go so well.
22:16: Garrus :Damn it.
22:17: Solana :We may try an offworld center. Some salarian doctors have something that might work.
22:17: Solana :It's not covered, though.
22:18: Garrus :Of course not.
22:19: Garrus :I can pay for the treatments.
22:19: Solana :That's a nice thought. I could really use you here, though.
22:20: Garrus :I can't. How much for the first round?
22:20: Solana :Forget it.
22:21: Garrus :I can pay.
22:24: Solana :Sure you can. You lose your C-Sec job, and what about that contract job you were doing up until recently?
22:24: Garrus :Yeah, it ended badly.
22:25: Solana :So don't give me more garbage about how you're going to help.
22:25: Solana :You obviously can't help or won't bother.
22:25: Solana :Damn it, you haven't even bothered to sync up for video chat since you lost that damn job.
22:26: Solana :If you're so ashamed to look me in the eye, then why are we even talking?
22:26: Solana :Go have your fun doing merc work or screwing around or whatever. Just don't act like you care.
22:30: Garrus :You're right, sol. I'm so sorry.
22:32: Solana :No, I'm sorry. Things are rough with Mom. The salarians are expensive as hell.
22:32: Garrus :I wish I could help.
22:35: Garrus :I'm going on a trip. Might be away from the relays for a while.
22:35: Solana :Another pleasure cruise?
22:36: Garrus :You know me.
22:38: Solana :Send me something nice.
22:38: Garrus :I'll be in touch when I can.

This indicates that their mother is sick, and needs treatment rounds. And a bit of sad misunderstandings, since -on top of the fact that he DOES have money, but it's blood money given from an anti-alien supremist group - the most likely  reason he won't link up for a vid chat, is because he doesn't want her to see his now-scarred up face. :(
We also see in the Mass Effect: Homeworlds, Issue #3: A Bullet for your Sins, that Garrus skiped out on a trip to an evealuation for milatary duty in order to help his bed-ridden mother.
Piece it all together, and it shows that Garrus was working with Mordin to
send off samples of Collector tissue in an attempt to help his mother's
condition.
But when James askes Garrus about family on Palaven in ME3, he just mentions his Dad and Sister. They get off Palaven fine. But, his Mom is never mentioned once in the game, so it's assumed that she passed away from her terminal disese in the six months between ME2 and ME3 :crying:

My guess is it will be a normal turian character model with a female voice. And they'll make an excuse for why turian females don't look any different. New character models take time and money.

According to the images of female turians from Mass Effect: Evolution, the only visable differences between the males and females is that the males have the head-flange spike things stemming from the top of their heads, and the females do not.
