I don't like the design. They could have gone several ways with it, and they chose to incorporate human aspects of femininity into it. This was already done with the Asari, and the Quarians too. They could have gone completely alien - had little sexual dimorphism, or dimorphism that was completely unfamiliar to us. Instead, Bioware went the predictable route, again.

Sorry, but for a people who are all about art, the design is just not very creative. Like at all.

I'm surprised this hasn't been put in the forums yet - female turian in game model?

I like it...

Nice... Its faithful to comic portrayals too,

See Bioware, if you try hard enough you can do it. About a damn time we get a female turian. And no damn burkha or hood neither. Now all you have left is batarians, vorcha, hanar, volus, elcor and drell... and yahg.

Can we get them as an option in MP too... please? Turian females are supposed to be as common in the Turian military as human females are in system alliance military. We even have the volus running around now, shooting reapers.

Except for the eyeliner, I like it. Yeah, it's a bit too "human" sexy, but I've come to expect that from BioWare, so...

That armor looks nice as well.

She looks fantastic, great job BioWare. It's still a shame we have had to wait so long to see them in game, but it's great that they made it there in the end.

She looks like a male turian without as much hair spikes.  If anything it fits like male avians having the extravagant plumage while females are usually more subdued.  What aspects of human femininity are you complaining about?

It kind of creeps me out that there's such a stark difference between the skin right around the eye and the rest of the face. It's like she's wearing a skull mask and that's the skin under the mask is the pink skin around the eyes. Seriously, the entire gray/grey part of her face looks like a skull... And not just because of the eye holes being too big, the face is too smooth and hard looking, as if it's pure bone.

Male Turians had neither problem, and didn't creep me out. But this? Freaky. Not a bad thing though, it makes the females look sufficiently alien. Besides, Vorcha are much creepier.

Male turians had skin under their eye holes as well, it's just the skin tone was black and made it look like the whole eye, rather than just skin and a pupil. And their skin is supposed to be hardened to sheild them from the radiation on palavan.

She looks great, exactly like a female turian would look, so I don't know what the complaints are about.

What? The face is explicitly more contoured and feminine. It is completely different from a male turian face. It is intended to evoke a feminine feeling, as that is a human feminine characteristic. This is so dramatic that it caused people to deduce that the blurry, barely recognizable character from the original Omega image captured at a convention was a female turian exclusively from the face, lol.

The lack of crest was a good idea. I was one of the ones that suggested male turians should have a crest if they are going for the avian comparison. It would have been better if they went with color dimorphism though, as that is way more common in birds. Either way, comparing an alien species to an Earth analog is pretty dumb. But, that's what they like to do so its reasonable to roll with it.

One of the things I liked about Eve and Dalatrass Linron is they didn't try to make the characters 'sexy' to the human players...

They were just strong characters who were also female...
Urdnot Bakara in particular...

Not that I don't appreciate a little digital eye candy, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't have to be an obnoxious prerequisite for every female character...

I know (male turians have the open area around the eye), and I know (their skin is like that to guard against Palavan's sun). But the thing is, it's more subdued on males, male turian's eye holes are smaller and the skin around the eyes is darker, and male turian's skin looks less like hard bone and more like scaley skin. Males look like a real face, the female's looks like a guy in a mask.

Well she's obviously feminine, but I wouldn't go as far as calling her... sexy, personally. I like the fact that for once, she's not covered under a robe. Very curious about her role in the game now.

Really like it. Although I agree, I would have gone with black around the eye socket. Maybe it'll look a little different in game.

I am sure they will be in MP. Which I will be upons the moment they are.

Yeah...I don't see it.

She looks fine, the hard face reminds me of all the grey faced turians we see, such as victus. Her neck appears to have a scaly appearance while her eyes have soft tissue around them, like every turian I've seen. Her face is thinner but not thin enough to be like "that's just a human female model with mandibles on it" it still looks very alien to me.

Don't know where this she's too sexy stuff is coming from, seems weird to me.

You don't see it? Compare-

Do you see how much softer Victus's face looks compared to her? How much rougher it looks and how it looks bumpy and wrinkly, completely unlike her? How the open part around the eye is smaller, and the black around the eye makes it look more a part of his actual face? How there's no distinction from the top of his head compared to his face, unlike her?

How can you not see what I mean?

She looks good to me: First, no "under the robe" model and second, no lore break (very similar to the comics visual)
The armor also looks cool :)

By the way, andy69156915 she is supposed to be diferent otherwise she would be a he :P
Also why so surprised? The female visual was already know.

Becasue it looks exactly like this.

And these turians came out a long time ago. Ergo, these look like the female turians depicted in the comics. Smoother face, smaller mandibles, colored skin around eyes, looks like it to me.

Don't get me wrong, I like it. I appreciate how alien she looks to me, even if it does freak me out while males don't.

I like the fact she LOOKS alien... and she doesn't have a hood or anything like that... which has utterly shocked me actually... :P I was totally expecting that, since it seems to be the norm with alien females.

But she does look a bit... smooth. Heck, it doesn't entirely look like an in game mode. But she's the first face model of her kind, while the male turians probably are somewhat the same since ME1. Model wise.

After seeing that picture comparison, Andy, all I seemed to notice was how much it looks like Victus has a Reaper tatooed on his face.
