After seeing that picture comparison, Andy, all I seemed to notice was how much it looks like Victus has a Reaper tatooed on his face.

Uh... Sure.:?

I don't get why people are saying she "looks alien". Turians in general don't really "look alien" - they're anthropomorphic, like most species portrayed in Mass Effect, and by definition are humanoid in appearance. The Hanar, Elcor, Rachni, and Leviathans "look alien". But that's beside the point. To me, the male turian looks more alien since the extended mandibles, crest, flattened nose and facial ridges make it less humanoid in contour.

Bipedal skull faced repto-avians are pretty alien to me.

Also we cant really say how alien something is, im sure theres humanoid species even in our universe, its a rather good form for an intelligent life. I doubt every true alien out there is some kind of a weird tentacle monster.

Interesting, so we now officially know what what female Turians look like. I was never a fan of the look in the comics, but I think BW handled it well.

I think most, I am anyway, expecting most female aliens(other species in general) in games to look very humanish, so when they don't it's like "Oh, alien." :P Don't know why, it's just become like that for me.

Yes I know Salarian and Krogan look "alien" too but they share models with the males so... eh, don't count it the same way. It's hard to tell if they ARE exactly the same or if it's just easier for the company to copy the model and put clothes over it.

I really like it. It looks slim and feminine, but still properly alien. I'm glad they gave her what looks like layered fringe over the top of her scalp (or maybe the scalp itself is just thicker)...I always thought the comics design was odd with how "bald" the females looked despite needing radiation protection.

If there's one thing I find off, it would probably be with the eyes; they seem much bigger than those of male turians, and the pupils look larger with a more dramatic vertical slit. The fact that the skin surrounding them isn't black doesn't bother me as much as the size.

Still, overall it's a great design and I love it. As long as this turian lady doesn't get any ideas about Garrus, I think I shall enjoy her inclusion in the DLC ^_^

I thought female turians in the comics looked awful and hoped Bioware wouldn't base the design on them.

Well I was wrong, because I think she looks pretty awesome and I'm honestly surprised they pulled it off, so credit where it's due.

This female turian looked so familiar to me, but I couldn't place it. Then I thought - you know, the way the head crest looks is pretty reminiscent of the way some fans have drawn what they thought Quarians should have looked like. Several of these were rather popular around the time ME3 was released due to the lashing from Tali's face:

But this is likely just coincidental as the female turian crest looks like just an elaboration of the male turian crest. I mean, after all, Bioware has "artistic integrity":

It's like you're trying to insult Bioware for making a female species look similar to their male counterparts.

Where was I insulting? Was it the blatantly obviously tongue-in-cheek "artistic integrity" comment? I was just pointing out the design similarity, and why it felt familiar to me. I don't suspect that they deliberately ripped that off, because the basic design of the female turians were already in the comics. Plus, I'm pretty sure I made that clear.

If  tried to read previous post he/she would have seen Bioware is simply using the same visual as the comics.

The eyes throws off her Turian-ness. It makes her look like a burn victim wearing a Turian mask.

Ironically, if you tried to read the previous post you would see that I acknowledged that.

a) I frequently edit punctuation in my posts because I'm OCD about that, which is what I did there. I changed no text, deleted no sentences. So - B) What was insulting about it? The only thing I can even fathom was insulting was the "artistic integrity" comment which has remained unchanged, nor will it change, since it's pretty absurd to think that is insulting anyways. Especially considering it was preceded by a sentence in which I acknowledged it was coincidental.

Glad that this is the ingame look. After the comic appearance, I had my reservations but whoever she is, she looks amazing.

It also fits with their appearence in the comics. Nice job on that bioware

Ummm.... Are we SURE that this is the same turian?
Don't get me wrong, she looks GREAT<3
I just hope to GOD that this IS the same turian we're getting in the Omega DLC.
Sorry. I mean, this BETTER be the same turian. And not just a fan-made.
And if the source for this took it down, aren't you worried that the Moderatiors here will take this thread down?

Yeah...I don't see it.

She looks fine, the hard face reminds me of all the grey faced turians we see, such as victus. Her neck appears to have a scaly appearance while her eyes have soft tissue around them, like every turian I've seen. Her face is thinner but not thin enough to be like "that's just a human female model with mandibles on it" it still looks very alien to me.

Don't know where this she's too sexy stuff is coming from, seems weird to me.

You don't see it? Compare-

Do you see how much softer Victus's face looks compared to her? How much rougher it looks and how it looks bumpy and wrinkly, completely unlike her? How the open part around the eye is smaller, and the black around the eye makes it look more a part of his actual face? How there's no distinction from the top of his head compared to his face, unlike her?

How can you not see what I mean?

She has softer features.

It's like compearing Male birds  to females.
Victus is the rooster.

Mods don't lock things like this. It More likly the devs would debunk false info. If true, they just stay silent.

The Eye arn't bigger. What makes it look big is the brow. She has a lighter brow then the males. That givesthe illusion that the eyes are larger.
Male turians just have heavier brows then females..Just like humans.
