Each new character from the DA series is always shown as a Mage. The warden was a mage in the previews before switching to Warrior and Hawkey was a blood mage who acted like a warrior (Seriously, why would you tanked the goshdamn Areishok with no backup? Either way, this is the first time I'm going to pre-order from Amazon.

Why are you so eager for them to rush it again?  I'd think after DA2 people would be begging for substantially longer development, not desiring it asap. 

Its [the game] not comming out in April, guaranteed.  Its fairly doubtful it will even come out next fall, I expect it to get delayed until Q1 2014.  Same thing happened to ME3. 


As for this book, looks nice.  I might get it, I love delving into dragon age lore as much as I do star wars.

Naw, Hawke had that Blood/Nutella smear across his nose and was portrayed as the be all to end all.

This guy could be either, The Main Character...or a badass generic character created for the cover.

You're wasting your time trying to discern meaning in the image-- it's temp art used to establish the composition. It's not the final cover, which will likely be different.

The art style seems familliar but I can't remember why ...

Pre ordered it too , I hope we will see some preview ...I will buy it no matter what , but I'm not too fond of the cover .
Something about the mage ...

I wonder about the content , I hope to see new information about lore , and really cool artwork about different countries.
Some exclusive codex entry , legends etc would be nice too.

Do we already know how the volume will be divided ( by theme : magic /etc...different cultures , etc?)

The Dragon Age: World of Thedas book
will premiere in April 2013. "It's a combination of Lore, politics,
religion in the game, geology, lands. It'll have a good smattering of
art, it's not just a wall of text. Art from all THREE games will be in
it, concept art and more," promised Priestly.

As a serious geology buff, I hope they really do mean "geology" and not just "geography".  A chapter devoted to the geologic history of Thedas would make me SQUEE with delight.  Somehow I think it's just a typo, though.

So based on this book, it seems safe to say that Bioware will be going on an all out offensive to drum up interest in DA3 come next year.

I pre orded both last week from amazon.

I love lore books! Hope the volume 2 doesn't take to long to release.

Anyone knows how many volumes it will have?

Maybe a second one by the end of the next year and a 3rd especific to DA3 when the same release in 2014?

Is this the part where we jump to the conclusion the final cover has something related to DA3 on the cover, and that's why you guys aren't showing off the final cover until we get the first batch of info on the game?

Cause I want to jump to that conclusion but I don't feel ready to just yet! ^^
