My thoughts on the DLC:
Story was fairly straightforward. A little too much focus on action. Gameplay was awesome no surprise there. Dialogue and linearity was a little less which was nice. Nyreen was a waste. I felt no sympathy for her. That one speech of Aria's where she talks to the people of Omega midway through was terrible. She sounded bored. Overall better than Leviathan but still could've been better.
I agree, It's probably one of the worst single player DLCs out of the entire Mass Effect Trilogy Bioware had to offer, and I think the biggest problem was the lack of payoff. Firewalker had new gameplay, Overlord had a terrific ending, Stolen Memories added Kasumi and had the best mission in the game. LotSB was well paced and expended the story and if you romanced Liara you get extra bonus, Arrival expended the story, Leviathan and From Ashes expanded the lore of Mass Effect.
Omega had nothing. Almost nothing in the way of choices, dialogue options, or even conversations. BioWare has truly abandoned everything that made it great, and even after everything that's happened with ME3 they're too blind, egotistical, and delusional to see it, let alone acknowledge it.
And i still haven't got my answer on Aria being Aleena that Wrex spoke off.
I couln't agree more about overlord. The Paragon Ending where Shepard pistol whips Archer was terrific. It gave me chills. Leviathan, while it did add lore to the universe, did nothing for me. Arrival while it did expand the story it was way too linear and did not even have much of an effect on ME3 besides a mention in dialouge. Overall ME2 had wonderful Single-Player add ons. ME3 sadly has had 4 and only 1 of them has been worth my money, being From Ashes. I even liked Bring Down the Sky from ME1.
It seems Bioware is taking the mistakes of ME3 and continuing to put them in DLC packs.
