You can't blame me for being a little skeptical, especially having just read the Pre-release developer quotes thread.

May that now dead thread rest in peace. :crying:

Yet still garbage if there is no Harbinger and Collectors in it.

For this price, this better be even bigger and more awesome than LOTSB. And no, that doesn't mean just "more combat!". No excuses

Mass Effect has never been about the combat, I mean remember before ME1 the line "many choices lie ahead, none of them easy" ME has always been about the choices, but somewhere along the line someone forgot the point and we got generic shooter #509.

Yeah, except  a lot of the trailers for mass effect 1 were about or featured combat, and combat  is advertised on the box. "Thrilling tactical combat".^_^

I hope there aren't Collectors in it. We destroyed them. They're gone. That was the point of ME2. We removed them from the galaxy. To return them in the storyline would be a mistake.

I'm sure it'll happen. I doubt they made all those Collector models just for a free MP DLC.

Um who said we destroyed the Collectors? we distroyed the collector base that was hiding in the Omega 4 relay but who is to say that there arent more collectors out there. who isnt to say that the reapers cannot simply reconstruct their DNA from scratch and spawn them again?

Please excuse me if im sceptical for any DLC commming from ME3. As an owner of the entire thrilogy i can say that EAware has its head in a totally different place than when it was doing ME2. ME2 and ME3 are just different mentalities. ME2 the story was unfinished it had multiple stories to be told and that could be told.it was like the "Clone Wars" of Mass Effect. A DLC like Leviathan would have been comfortable in this period.  they could have realeased tons of dlc and the would have all done well. Infact with the release of the Trilogy pack i wouldnt mind some back dated DLC for ME2. id pay way more for that than for those in ME3. ME2 had a future while ME3 has and end and a controversial one at that. DLC for ME3 carry a hopeless expectance that while enjoyable doesnt change anything and has a deep feeling that this should have been in the original game. if Leviathan and the EC were originally in the Day one copy i think the community would have been a lot more acceptant of the endings. yet like a dog that pooed on your carpet, even though you clean it up the stink still remains. ME3 retacons feel like pandering and it discourages me more than over price DLC.

Leviathan was 800 MSP but was no where near what LotSB was. That's the main reason as to why I'm a bit relunctant.

Reguardless, I'll still buy it and I'm sure it will be good!

But that's an opinion.

Dont fool yourself, mass effect has always been equal parts story and equal parts combat, even ME1 was combat heavy.

So yes it has also always been about combat, but then most RPGs are.

That is true, Leviathan was as good as LOTSB in my eyes,  Both of them were really of equal length in both of my first runs (Leviathan was actually just a tad bit longer by 1/2 and hour)

Are you worring about $15 priiiize? Don't buy it on the release day. Read some reviews, opinions, maybe watch video on YT before that, I don't know. But that's the only way to be not dissapointed. You can only blame yourself for not using brain.
But I know there will be a lot of crying people here. Their impatience won't let them wait a single day and they'll spend a lump of money on Omega, and if it won't meet their expectations.......oh dearie me....

That's true but I'm sure majority of ME players feel the same way. Leviathan was great but not as great as LotSB.

the reason that it might be so much money is that you could revisit omega just like you did in ME2.

That works. Having a Krogan squadmate wouldn't hurt either. Like Bloody the Blood Pack Krogan.

Gamble said it was basically double the size of any DLC done for Mass Effect 3, so if we're placing any weight in Gamble's words, I don't think "double the size of LOTSB" is accurate since it's ME2-era.

Like I said in the other thread, for $15, it had better the boss of all bosses DLC, and it better have Miranda.

...or I riot.
