Bro what are you talking about?
Omega will greatly affect the ending by adding an additional 50 war asset points

This is why i think Bioware needs to do something really special for the fans with this dlc, if they're gonna charge $15 for it. Because there doesn't seem to be much of an overall point to this dlc in the grand scheme of the game's plot. Why would Shepard even want to retake Omega? That place is a s***hole. You deal a killing blow to Cerberus when you assault the main base anyway.

I think it will be fun , but I want character driven content , with a great story , to be honest I really dont care how Omega relates to the game as a whole . I will like the DLC if they make it more self contained and not about the catalyst and non sense that has become the reapers .

Shep wants to break the first rule of omega.

Has that one already been done?

Honest to god, I said it when the original endings were all we had but I'll say it again...

This will only be relevant if you've seen the movie A Christmas Story.

The war assets thing is like trying to get enough Ovaltine caps to get the Little Orphan Annie decoder ring so you can decode the secret.  And the secret is Drink Your Ovaltine.

Great now I'll be thinking the phrase "You'll shoot your eye out" whenever someone mentions a successful Refuse ending or an expanded breath scene...

yeah, it sounds like (based on previous statements by bioware) the omega DLC isn't going to change the ending, so if you're playing it because you're hoping it will add to meaning to the ultimate end of the galaxy, i wouldn't waste the $15.

if you just want a fun mission/more time in the ME world without caring about the ending, then i'm sure it will be great.

I don't know how many times bioware has said that they aren't changing the endings yet some of these people can't get it through their thick skulls.  We are going to be hearing the same crap from them everytime a new sp dlc comes out.  They are like the kid that asks "are we there yet" every 5 minutes

Your love it or leave it attitude is the reason America is such a cesspool of corruption and stupidity, you blindly accept what your masters give you and don't ever strive to change anything,as insignificant as it may seem.

You are a terrible person and you make me sick.

Your tears sustain me hippy

First off, Hippie not hippy, I don't have long hair and I don't want everyone to be my friends. Secondly, i'm far from it.

Also your sheepishness sustains me.

"talkin' bout my generation"

Whining about spelling on an online forum?  Yeah you need to get a life.  Hippy

I like the irony that the most expensive Mass Effect DLC ever is a level that was cut out from the game. EA RulezZzZzzz

The Mass Effect 3 DLC is the first Bioware DLC I haven't bought.
I will buy it all next year when the Indoctrination DLC is released and the ending make sense.

Not happening.

You know what else isn't going to happen?  EAs stock will not go up because they refuse to release IT DLC.

With all the new games EA publishes every year, yes it will.

But really unless you get to have at least a threesome with Aria and Liara or just sex with Aria there is really no point in going to Omega.
And not just a crappy sex scene, a good 2 minutes of saucy action.

Omega is a strategic nexus in the Terminus Systems. A center of operations to rally galactic forces against the Reapers would prove vital in this large region of space, not to mention the many secrets that it holds.

:wizard:
IT is just as nonsensical as current ending, but for both in-game and out-of-game reasons.
EAWare will never release that. They already destroyed their core fanbase, and heavily damaged their reputation.
Admitting that they deliberately released incomplete game will lead to a even more severe implications, than they have now.
And they, of course, will never disprove the IT, because they need your(iters) money and loyality.

This is obivous.

If anything, this DLC is just proof that they wrote themselves into a corner with ME3 and can't/won't come up with something that's meaningful beyond some trivial war assets we already have more than enough of.

Maybe your character suddenly comes down with a fever, and Omega happens to have a stockpile of cowbell.

Considering that the introduction of the creators of the main enemy of the whole trilogy accomplished absolutely nothing in the end, I doubt Omega will be any different.

"The journey is more important than the destination" some people might say.

Yeah, but when the destination is the point of the entire trilogy, excuse me if it all feels so underwhelming.
