Hi
Is there a way of somehow bypassing/disabling the connection to EA servers? That would save me a whole minute every time I open ME3

Half of us on the forum are trying to get ONTO it and you're trying to DISABLE it??? That's like offering milkshakes to a horde of lactose intolerant people, dude.

I just don't want my game to scan for new DLCs every 5 minutes. Every time I start my game, not only I have to put up with that ridiculous Bioware/EA logo animation playing every time, but I also have to wait around 1 minute before I even can press "Resume". Do you think it's fair that people who paid real money for a game have to suffer more than the ones who pirate it for free and probably have bypassed all the servers? When you buy a game at least you deserve an option to:
1). Disable the EA/Bioware splash intro. Yes, I freaking know who made this game!
2). Disable connection to EA servers.
It's a single player game for christ's sake. I don't need it to scan for new stuff every time I log in. When the new DLCs come, I will read it on a game news website and I sure as hell will log in manually and buy them.
Only Blizzard have learned not to ****** off their custommers as much. Every time I try to play a game with EA involved, there are always problems of some sort. I hope that EA vanish some day and Bioware become independant and distribute their own games, away from this money grubbing fascism.

I understand, active origin, and instead of the games you have out the store instead of "my games". When you activate the game connects to the EA servers and performs two checks acontinuación content, multiplayer and give back to test against. A little tiresome if, really.
A AndrastesGrace terms, is that you will not try to connect, but there are many users who are not connected and we can not verify the dls and ma's, gives us many more errors, and that annoys by BioWare laziness.

You can yank your network cable, but no DLC will work.

Your DLC should work fine if you "yank your cable" before you start up the game, and do not have an origin window open. If the game has "verified" your DLC at least once before you can play with DLC if you have no internet connection.

You would think that would work. But that is a fantasy.
No connection = No DLC.
Yup, ya gotta be be able to connect to their crappy servers constantly to play a single player game.

In the future you will have wires going to your balls so that EA can constantly measure your pulse, your blood pressure and your sperm count in order to play a singleplayer game.

Tman is actually correct. I play singke player all the time with internet disabled and my DLC works just fine.

I just tested and confirmed: single player with all DLC are perfectly playable without Internet connection. Actually I did not detach the cable manually - instead just disabled the connection. So far the only verified way to disable EA connection is to stop the Internet connection (wireless, cable, LAN, dish/satellite, phone/modem, etc.)

oh so its not just me who gets irritated by the length of time it takes to authorize dlc and how often it does it,seriously ea/bioware which ever came up with that idea, they clearly have more tolerance than some of us, coz wow its totally annoying, it should only need to authorize it once, when you first purchase it, not ever time you play

I counted yesterday. It took my 1½ minute to be able to press Resume after skipping the Bioware/EA splash screen right away. But no matter how much we complain this will not be fixed. Unless if someone has an idea how to manually override this.

if i didn't love the game so much, i'd just stop playing it, the dlc authorization just takes the micky, authorizing when you first load the game, then authorizing when you go back to main menu, why do game devs need to do that, i'm sure there are less annoying ways to make sure a game and its dlc are legally purchased

Just to get to the start up menu is a pain in the ass. It can take upwards to a minute because the game has to constantly connect to EA's unreliable, piece of **** servers. The menu also freezes. The same goes for the lobby and the store. It's been consistently getting worse since the release of the game. These connection issues were already present during the pre-release demo. That fact that none of these issues have been addressed is downright despicable. This game's been out for almost a year.
The support for this game is ****ing pathetic. EA rightfully deserves its negative reputation.

I also consider this constant "connecting to EA servers" "searching for downloadable content" scan ANNOYING. And to think BioWare allows such a flaw to remain in the game still...

I have never played the game as the 'connecting to ea servers' dumps to 'cannot connect to ea servers' and the screen freezes - gotta use task manager to end the program! This is since install! UHG... I 'almost' bought some of the DLC's but hell no! Not till I can at lease play the freeking game as is! I did not have any such problems with ME2, what a waste...
