This is where I shall be posting my Dragon Age fanfiction. Currently the only one I am working on whenever I am free or not feeling sick (damn this cough to hell) is "A Lady and Her Gentleman."

- A Lady and Her Gentleman-
Summary: Snippets concerning the romance concerning Alistair and Erilys Cousland. These snippets are not in story order. I apologize for any confusion otherwise.

Nice story so far.
 
The good:
- I really like your version of Alistair. He seems far less whiny than he appeared in the games. Also I really liked the way your character realised in the 4th chapter why Al hates to be a leader.
- There are about 2340875275937459782345980237693985632475 different stories on fanfiction.net about the Cousland\\Alistair pairing. Because your story differs from the events in the game it really was a breath of fresh air, after reading all those generic and identical C\\A stories.
The bad:
A few minor nitpicks
- In the first chapter there is not a single mention of the fact that Morrigan will gain the soul of a god through the ritual. It seems that your character doesn't even care about this. To her only Alistair really matters. Although I like characters with human failings, the fact that she doesn't care about  what Morrigian will do with the god soul is pretty dumb, perhaps stupid. This also makes you a worse Grey Warden than Jory.

Anyway, I really enjoyed what you've written. While I love Erilys, she's not my favorite character type (that is to say, the ditzy, love infatuated maiden). However, you've woven an amusing tale that is a delight to read. The implications of certain events (like what happens when she fights the Darkspawn) or feelings (like in the Morrigan ritual) are really subtle, and I quite enjoy that. I don't want to be overtly told that bad joojoo is going to happen now the Darkspawn know she's a woman, I like puzzling that stuff out.

I look forward to the next chapter.

Even though it isn't mentioned, she does care that Morrigan gains the soul of an old god, it just was not the focus of that snippet. And you're right, definitely in that snippet it was -all- about Alistair. Had it been drawn out into a nice lengthy chapter it definitely would have been included in some shape or form but her thoughts on Morrigan and the old god baby is something saved for later.

good work. You give Alistair a more mature character than what is conveyed in the game and Erilys is a well realized character. I like your portrayal of Zevran as well, in the brief glimpses we get of him. Thanks for sharing.
