So I happened to find out that I could find Nathaniel in act 3 and I have played DA2 3 times with 3 different imports. I have never seen Nathaniel and found out that it could be a bug in the import of DA:O/A. :? This is how I did all 3 of the games I imported to DA2; DA:O --> DA:A --> GoA --> WH --> DA2. I did not take Nathaniel with me when I went to kill big mama but at the end it would always say he survived at the keep.
So how would this bug affect my import into DA3????? If Nathaniel is bugged what else is bugged in the imports and I am missing? If,  IF Bio fixes it before DA3 comes out am I going to have to replay all 3 of my DA2 games so it does not affect the import into DA3???? We are talking about years of game play here that was made to move your story along to the next one and I would hate for it to be messed up because someone messed up a "if" statement ;).
So all in all I would like for these bugs to be worked out before DA3 comes out and I would like someone to beta test the imports into DA3 BEFORE it comes out.

Next thing, some of the darkspawn looked alright but others looked like monkeys with silver eyes that had armor on. Just look how they run and walk it was like watching the flying monkeys in the Wizard of Oz. I was expecting at any moment someone green would come out and yell FLY FLY FLY MY PRITTIES, HAHAHAHA! They just were not as creepy as they were in DA:O. :crying: Now I know you had to make the game work on PS3 and Xbox 360 which are 100 year old systems (give or take a few years) so you were limited in what you could do but come on you didn't need to change them that much from DA:O.

Next to last thing, the world was to repetitive for my liking. By the end of act 1 we had seen every basement, cave, mine,  warehouse, and sewer layout in the game. I had it all memorized by the end of act 2 with the exception of a random locked door. At least in some places a little effort was made in the walls and the ground clutter. It was like I was playing Mass Effect 1 all over but only years later. I know you were limited to what you could do because of the PS3 and Xbox 360 but some of us have a PC or laptop power that can do a little more. Just give the crappy version of the game to the PS3 and Xbox 360 thanks.

Last thing, this is not all that important but if you are going to kill someone like you did with the twins, I would like the option of which one dies and lives and not have it based on what class I am. I would have killed what's his bucket every time because Bethany had a rockne bod (Varric's exaggerated mod/fix:devil:)!

Other than that I am looking forward to DA3 and have high hopes for it. By the way, no expansion for DA2???

Honestly I liked being restricted with Bethany or Carver depending on your class. As a mage your stuck with your younger brother. A stuck up brat who always felt shadowed by you. He often brings up the fact your a mage and despite you two not getting alone he will always stand up to you because your his sibling.
With Bethany you have the duty to protect her because she's the only mage in the family.
Also being both mages you also have Merrill and Anders. Too many.

I couldn't play as a mage in DA2 cuz I loved Bethany and hated Carver. I never made it past act 1

I killed Anders do he is not going to be in DA3 hehe. If only my character didn't take his cat when I imported my DA:A to GoA. The cat was still in my bag so I think that's what really set Anders off. It would have added a fun dynamic to the game if you had 2 mages in the family. It was a mass killing spree with 3 mages in the group just think if you had 4! :P

Anders also died in DA:Awakening in my playthrough. Still showed up in DA2, though. About the same time as when he was at Amaranthine, for some reason.

Unfortunately DA:A is notoriously bugged and the one you've experienced is one of the worst. Yep, with all the upgrades you did to Vigil's Keep AND the ending slide that says Nathaniel lives the import flags don't correctly register from Awakening to DA II. So if you don't take Nathaniel with you for the final battles you've basically hosed yourself out of Varric's final armor upgrade, since the "Finding Nathaniel" quest is the only way you can acquire it.
The only thing I can suggest until the powers that be decide to fix all the Awakening bugs Posted Image is to check the Dragon Age wiki under "Awakening" and see what other bugs may affect a DA II import save. If by chance you did a save game in Awakening just before you make the decision to save either Vilgil's Keep or Amaranthine you can reload it and play from that point forward, this time with Nathaniel in your party.

As much as I enjoy playing Awakening, it never ceases to amaze me how many bugs managed to slip by QC. Posted Image
