Anything goes, complete new idea for a hazard, on any map. or swapping a hazard with another (like Firebase: Giant ~sandstorm~)

Me and my mate have been thinking it'd be cool for something like firebase: Hydra ~Flood~.
just because we were playing Hydra and I brought up how all you ever hear on the map in thunder but never any rain. He then said well I bet if it rained the damn might flood or something. the convo went on and we finally went. "Hey wouldn't it be cool if for a hazard map the ever couple of rounds a warning bell would sign and then bottom would flood. if you don't get out in time the water would incap you and wash you up to one of the ramps. and any small enemies in the bottom eary die too. (mechs, banshees, brutes, etc. are able to wade through it though.) and yeah. I think it'd be really interesting and really change up gameplayImage IPB

So what are your ideas Image IPB

EDIT1# Okay, so my personal favourites I have heard so far. the ones I'd be looking forward to are as follows.
Condor- Debris
Hydra- Flood
Jade- Tropical Storm
Goddess- black out (flashlights)
Vancouver- Smog/whiteout (either seem fine with me ^^ )
Rio- Debris/ reaper lazer/ Dance festival :D
London- Collaps (because reaper lazer and debris in one :3 )
also
Glacier- black out (I really like the black out idea :L)
Reactor- radiation leak (I thought that's what they were doing originally)
Anyother map- with a black out (more flashlights :3)
EDIT2# Geth would not need the flashlights mounted on their guns... they just have a high power light beem from their faces Image IPB

How about air/artillery strikes on some of the "outdoor" maps with them primarily being aimed at known camping spots leading to instant death if caught in an attack with them lasting for up to a minute

hyrda could have tidal waves that flood the lower sections of the map, this could mean either drowning or slower movement speed or other affects.

it could also have tactical use if it harms enemies. you camp in the spot till last second, get out of there, then the enemy is destroyed. (or at least take damage) Image IPB

like my idea. although the waves makes more sense then what I said where it just starts filling with water :L

A Thresher Maw in FB Giant, spitting acid at anything that moves, including enemies.

Hydra flooding is pretty straightforward, I thought of it too. Jade could have random critters escape from research cells, Varren for instance.

I liked an idea I read a while ago when these maps were being hinted at.

I still don't know if FBW's whiteout is actually like this, or just a snowy version of Dagger's sandstorms..

But I'd like to see a snowy map wherein you have to keep moving to keep heat up. Or maybe a mechanic like having to stay indoors, because the longer you stay outside - the closer you get to losing heat and falling unconscious due to the extreme cold. Just like ME1's planetary EVA hazards.

What are those things the turrets in FB Rio are shooting at anyway? If they're meteor-thingies flung by Reapers, then how about some of them actually landing on the map, dealing damage to anything they hit?

Goddess with a midnight black out version. you only get flashlight. (not my idea I read this ages ago from someone else) but yeah, I reckon this one would be scary and funny too :L

Condor - Space debris falling like the ME3 startup screen.

Reactor - Should have toxic leaks around the map. Current hazard isn't much of a hazard.

In the Hazards thread i had wind on firebase rio which does cause waves to crash over the platform. Makes sense while there is massive loads of water (scenic) for hydra there is a button in the hut on the right could be a shelter to release the dam water, once per 30 seconds it can be activated.

Condor would also have the occasional crashing turian fighter jet.

ideas for hazards;
enemy holographic decoys, similar to salarian decoy

area hazard like reactor but weaker and can prime enemies for be/tb/fe/ce's

map layout changes throughout map (say this corridor now connects to a different room)

enemies can now spawn at any part of the map via meteorite (reaper), shuttle (cerberus), orbital drop (geth) or simply flying there (collector)

introduce wild animal/mech into map such as varren that fight both you and enemies as suggested by white flag

random pulse of energy taking out shields of anyone out of cover (like the geth dreadnought mission)

indoctrination effecting controls (ie power button layout change, inverted controls for a short period of time)

I really like the pitch black Goddess idea and the flooding Hydra. Those both sounds interesting. My thought was a reaper in London but some one already posted that.

That would make Hydra a hell of a lot more entertaining for me. Goddess could have a tornado hazard. Jade could have a hurricane.

London london could have parts of the map being destroyed at random (or in my head it's more the buildings around it, maybe making the map bigger in some places or just have damage dealing debris) idk, call it London ~collaps~ or even remove some parts of the map (ie. the bridge might randomely 'collaps' and you can't use it anymore (it'd also deal damage to anything bellow it.)

Yeah because of the rainforesty look of jade I'd by it having huge rainstorms. :3 I'd like to see that.

Jade: A bunch of female Krogan with M-300 Claymores shooting everybody.

Vancouver: A shipment of maple syrup from a transport ship was shot down. Players and enemies cannot run or dodge within syrup at the crash site by the landing zones.

Rio: the AA cannons on Rio are destroyed so random aircraft (depending on the faction) would do a bombing run on the bridges. (alarms will warn beforehand)

Condor: the fighters gets shot and crashes on random parts of the map.

Hydra: a large octopus like thing attacks using it's tentacles to slap the outer parts of the map. (Will randomly sync-kill low level enemies) Safe only inside the bunkers or the inner parts of the map. will destroy shields on attack on players and brings health down to 5% on second attack. causes stagger.

Goddess. the water pool inside has overflowed due to the blood and pieces of gore clogging up the drains. causing a flooding on the lower level inside. restricts movement.
