Enviromental interaction, like electric devices that you can shoot, causing a bolt discharge around

Don't know if anyone has played Hard Reset, but it suits perfectly what i'm saying

Firebase Jade
-A heavy rain storm at night with only the buildings having prefered lighting for combat.

Firebase Goddess
-Power surge at night that causes only certain parts of the building to have enough light to fight in properly.

Firebase Condor
-Turian Artillery that the players can call in but has random strike points. The Artillery will either aid or harm the team.

Firebase Hydra
-Overload power generators that require players to set off a discharge of excess power or a automated system fires off the discharge automatically, possibly harming players in the process.

Firebase London
-Heavy morning fog that shrouds the battlefield, masking enemy movements from the players.

Firebase Vancouver
-Night time blizzard that shrouds the field in seemingly endless wall of snow and only granting few places with lighting

Cant think of anything for Rio. Just some late night ideas, nothing too amazing but better something than nothing. Need more evening maps, thats why I based a lot of them at night. Not to mention that just because the "hazard" doesn't kill you or harm you in terms of health or shields, doesn't mean its not exactly a hazard. But I see where folks want more deadly traps and the likes around the map to keep things going.

Condor:
Sometimes debris from wrecked turian ships fall down stunning everything (players/enemies) in set radius.

Hydra:
Courtyard is flooded which means players have penalty to speed movement while in water.

Jade:
In some waves randomly spawns 3 crates with experiments that left by researchers. Shooting this crate will release it contents affecting everything (players/enemies) in set radius. Each of 3 crates have color markings (red. blue, yellow). Types of crates are:
- (Red) Explosives. Big blast similar to Posessed Abomination's explosion.
- (Yellow) Acid. Deals damage over time similar to Ravager's acid pool. Does more damage to enemies.
- (Blue) Electricity. Stuns players/enemies 3 times for 9 seconds. Does not damage shields.
- (Blue) Shield power cells. Increase player's maximum shields/barriers for limited time. Restores enemy's depleted shield/barriers.
- (Red) Red Sand. Modified version without side effects. Increase power and weapon damage by 15% for both players and enemies. Does not affect geth players/enemies.
- (Yellow) Adrenaline gas. Increase movement speed of players/enemies for limited time. Does not affect geth players/enemies.

Goddess:

Slowly collapsing building coased by Harvesters bombarding it.

Rio:
Ocean Storm with huge waves and strond wind that tones down other sounds.

Vancouver:
Husk Horde. Countless husks crawling up the walls, several Dragon's teeth placed through the map. Since wave 1 with enemies spawn several husks. Their number increase each wave and in the later waves enemies consists of Bosses, special enemies and massive ammount of husks and abominations.

London:

Reaper Destroyer. Lands after wave 3.
Can't be damaged. Singleshot charged laser attack. Requires significant amount of time to charge.
Dodge/Roll/Fast movement speed works against attack.
In last seconds of extraction get distracted by the cover fire from other squads with heavy weapons.

What hazard could anyone possibly come up with to make FB Goddess any less annoying to play?

Great thread :) Some nice ideas here.

Condor: Random Turian Airstrike. A Turian Commander will call out one of 3 areas of the map for a bombing strike, 4 seconds later there's a flyby by those turian fighters that drop several bombs. Hurts both players and enemies.

Hydra: Electrical Overload. The room with the big glowy orb has switches on the outside. Similar to Reactor, hitting a switch after a certain point releases a MASSIVE electrical field in the room, doing big damage and stunning anything in the room.

Jade: Heavy Fog. Limited sight distance similar to the Dagger Hazard.

Goddess: Security Doors. The upper control area has 3 switches that control 3 separate doors - facing the courtyard one closes off the doorway on the left towards the balcony, one closes off the doorway on the right with the ammo box, one closes the door behind you. The switches toggle the door states, but they also randomly activate every 30 sec. I also like the night-time limited light idea.

London: Reaper lasers. Two Reapers at different ends of the map randomly fire lasers onto the field. Similar to the end of single player campaign. Damage players and enemies.

Rio: Storm Surges. Large waves crash over certain parts of the map, staggering whatever gets hit by them.

Vancouver: Fire. Parts of the map catch fire over time, doing DOT to nearby players or enemies.

Not a new hazard, but a way to improve an existing one. Have this playing the background on Hazard Dagger =)

I'd like one with an actual hazard, like a snowstorm dealing damage when out of cover, or like on the planet in ME2 where you have to rescue Tali and stay in the shade or find solar radiation depleting your shields.

Rio should have a reaper randomly drop in on either side of the map and blast its laser.

On vancouver, a harvester randomly drops in and drops off reaper forces, no matter who you are fighting against.

I always liked the Call of Duty (I think) map where a nuke would go off at random intervals and wipe out everyone not in cover. Perhaps the London map could have a Reaper that randomly fires their death star beam and kills everything not in cover.

I also think a hurricane could work really well, though I don't really know where. You could play during the eye, but when the storm kicks up the wind could throw you around, or even off the map to your death.

What about bringing back reactor's radiation? Have the lower spaces flood with irradiated gas after venting. Instead of having it deal DoT, player and enemy shields and barriers do not regenerate in that zone. DoT is still possible, but thought that might be a bit more interesting and have a similar effect.

Personally i would like to see on
Condor: Random minefields, since your on a moon like surface it would be logicall, if there where mine fields lying around
Hydra: Lower level low water/swamp with possible traps, or some penalty for movement, higher level fog. Waterfalls creates fog and if the lower level is to close to the water, it would be logicall if there would be some water there, plus its an excellent place for random husk popping up out of the water.
Jade: Is on a jungle planet so, plant life everywhere, with the occasional plant trap, or webbing, etc.
Goddess: Goddes contains rubble, so rubble randomly falling down, for instance you hear an incoming hit from cannons and all of a sudden rubble falls down from a ceiling on a random place, on the outside pathway you could have random cracks in the ground that provide penalty's for those trying to avoid the inside.
Rio: Rio has containers, so there should be like barrels lying around that could burst open randomly with acid or vapors, etc. or since you hear the guns firing on the back, random explosions would also be an option.
Vancouver: In Vancouver you have alot of pipelines everywhere, so electrical surges would be best
London: And London, London should be burning, flames popping up randomly.

Okay, so my personal favourites I have heard so far. the ones I'd be looking forward to are as follows.
Condor- Debris
Hydra- Flood
Jade- Tropical Storm
Goddess- black out (flashlights)
Vancouver- Smog/whiteout (either seem fine with me ^^ )
Rio- Debris/ reaper lazer/ Dance festival :D
London- Collaps (because reaper lazer and debris in one :3 )

also
Glacier- black out (I really like the black out idea :L)
Reactor- radiation leak (I thought that's what they were doing originally)
Anyother map- with a black out (more flashlights :3)

EDIT# Geth would not need the flashlights mounted on their guns... they just have a high light been from their faces :L
