Bioware/EA told us that the incentive for having DLC packaged with a sealed copy of the game was to negate things like piracy, borrowed copies, and second hand sales.
That made sense to me.
But it seems that after April 30th, people who buy new copies of the game must pay $15 for the DLC? Doesn't that counter the natural price drop of the game?
If the sole purpose of having DLC in the game was to protect EA/Bioware from pirates and the used game market, then having an expiry date on the DLC seems pointless. It seems like we were mislead, because someone buying the game new, after the end of April, won't be getting the DLC. It seems like this expiry date is just another way for EA to counter the natural price drop that comes after a game has been on the shelf for a year.
If I am understanding this wrong, someone please let me know.
