So, I realize programming for the PS3 is "hard" and that most game companies only put out a PS3 version of their games to snap up that market share, but I was really disappointed by the experience the DA:O gave on PS3 versus playing it on the PC. So, I went out and picked up the Mac version the day it came out, only to find out shortly after that the toolset, "Return to Ostagar" DLC pack, and the Character Creator (I wanted the DLC ring) are all PC or XB360 exclusive.
Seems like I'll have to wait for Final Fantasy to get my 100+ hour RPG fix in...really sad on this one, as Dragon Age is such a great game.
Also, this is really off topic, but anyone else notice that the lack of a mouse on the console and not being able to interact with anything in combat makes Rogues pretty much useless for most of the game?
So Disappointed...

The Toolset I can sympathise with, but not getting a two hour quest and a 'make the game easier' ring really isn't that much of a loss.

I think BioWare did the right thing by making the console versions worse than the PC one. That way I get my sweet revenge for not getting Assassin's creed 2. You evil, evil people!!!

I'm surprised you expected the toolset to be Mac compatible. Indeed, it sucks for those who do not own a rig to run it, but why would BioWare create and maintain tools they have no use for?
But on that note, have you tried a virtual machine?

Yeah, it came out some weeks ago if I am not wrong. And again, if I am not wrong, it's only digitally buyable. Of course, for someone like DigitalOrigami that shouldn't be too much of a problem, right?DigitalOrigami wrote...

Who, me? :innocent:
Yeah, it's only available as a digital download, but I don't see any of the add-ons being available, nor do I see the editor being available for mac... so if you've got a console version (I do), then there's no reason at all to by this "afterthought" version.

Mac users should be grateful a major company decided to convert their game to it's OS. I grew up with Macs and they were the absolute worst for gaming choices.

Return to Ostagar is not exclusive to PC/360. PS3 will have it, just at a later date because of Sony's licensing restrictions.
