Trying to replace some cloaks that I have on the cloak slot so that they would appear on the left or right hip slots instead. The models (its the backpack models) has an MDB file, a DDS and a GR2.
the only thing I thought about doing is just to change the name of the MDB file from  P_HHF_CL_Cloak13 to P_HHF_LeftHip10. It shows me the number 10on the left hip slot but if i choose it the model does not appear and nothing happes. do I need to play around with the dds / gr2? how can I get this done? (and how can I even know to which dds belongs to each MDB file...?)

You can't just rename the MDB file, since it references its own name in the file header. You need to use the 'MDB Cloner' tool available on the NWVault.

You won't need to change anything else - just create a clone of the cloak using the naming convention of the slot you want it in. It will quite happily use it's old textures and animations, since those too are hardcoded into the file.

mmm It didn't work... I just renamed in the add the name of the MDB to A_HHMLHip## Do I need to do anything else? it does the same thing- the number i gave on the ip slot appears but not on the model... could it be you can't rename a cloak to a hip at all?
