Online Gameplay

Obviously PvP would be pretty difficult but allowing friends to join your story with their charachters and fighting alongside you would be pretty sweet. Instead of having all of your companions doing their own thing and using the tactics youve created you could have another playing fighting beside you plus with communication you could easily work together to take down some pretty difficult situations especially on the hardest difficulty.
Another option could be to implement some actual co-op missions that will require at least one other player to help you. Personally I couldnt think of anything better than to have one of my mates kicking ass against the Darkspawn or whatever other foes they throw at us.

With EAs new policy of not putting a green lightn on anything unless it has multiplayer I don't think you have much choice in the matter.

I could see offline co-op working.

No. Nobody really does. Besides choosing to not play it, being the online, or not play the game itself.franciscoamell wrote...

I'm not really a online gameplay sort of person.

I dont mean like against someone or like anyone joining when they feel like it but like just your mates so yeah offline would be good but have the option to invite your online mates as well

I can live with that. I mean I am not really crazy about a mainly singleplayer game getting multiplayer but I wouldn't mind a PVP system or Co-Op missions. I am not unreasonable.

Meh as long as im not forced to play it to get the best outcomes I guess I can deal with it. I may even try it. I just think it does not suit the dragon age universe unless the multiplayer has its own game.
I agree completely. I also like your idea before about trading ang selling in game things online. That could be pretty cool if done correctly.

Nonconsensual invasion PVP would be awesome
I'm laughing but no.
Spent my whole time playing Demon Souls waiting to be invaded by someone out to get me

Devs have said that Dragon Age 2 fulfilled this online requirement, so they have plenty of choice in the matter. But honestly I think just the tacked on coop would be kind of cool as long as they don't implement explusive content that requires co-op.

To many games focus on both the beasts and intigrate it ... meh. I don't co-op in apparent single player games. I'll play an MMO if I want that.
And besides, how would it work? Can't with quests, unless you make it like SW game where you vote, but pffft, no thanks. Or NWN where the first person who hailed the NPC got all the text? Nope ...
What would it be, all run and gun like ME3? Meh, no thanks either.

I'm curious what about DA2 met the online requirement. Do they mean dlc? And CoOp would be fine as long as it isn't required for me to get the best ending. *Cough* Mass Effect 3 *Cough*
