I see the banner more as entertaining purposes. Who doesn't like a chubby Volus as a biotic god in the lobby? If they did decide to implement it, sure that'd be cool. If not, oh well. It's not like Bioware is sexist and simply chose god because they felt like that.
To tell you the truth, if I was female I may have changed my opinion but I don't see that happening.

I always thought since Asari were the most powerful biotics it should be one of them on the banner instead of a volus, Every banner is a pretty serious cool one while the Biotic God one is humorous. :/ Or a Fury, gotta love my Fury.

Actually, I agree, mostly because the race that pretty much sets the standard for biotics in the Mass Effect universe is the Asari, not the Volus...that said, the "biotic god" meme is kind of funny too...
