A. Delivering multiple banners for the same challenge
No need for new challenges. When choosing your banner for the Challenge a pop-up could be displayed on console or on the N7HQ that has two (or more if BW is feeling generous) banners to choose from. Way more simple than making up new challenges...
This would require changing the delivery method. Ultimately my point here is that Bioware does not make decisions in game designs because its being sexist or racist, but for business reasons. Repeatedly calling them out for being sexist is counterproductive.
Yes, you made that point before - and from experience I don't believe that the costs of making this change would be very significant in the scheme of things. We're talking about a very minor change compared to the other things that are being done - but one that could have a very positive effect on the perception of the business. Indeed, I think that there's a case for saying that there are good business reasons why this should be included, and why I suspect it was an oversight in the first instance - many people, myself included have noted the substantial efforts (and costs) that the company has previously made to be inclusive. I'm afraid this rather nullifies your argument.
My argument is that Bioware is driven by business reasons. I'm not arguing that this shouldn't be included, I'm explaining why Bioware might choose not to include it(there is a real cost to including it, there is a trade off involved). Bioware is not sexist in implementing the system as it is currently.
Whenever anything is done, it consumes resources and has a corresponding opportunity cost. We don't know if this would be a good use of resources or not, but there are very solid reasons, imo, to choose not to do so. Additionally, any attempts at inclusivity made in the single player are very distinct from the multiplayer. As an rpg, the single player is expected to be a personalized experience. As a shooter, personalization falls behind game mechanics and bug issues.
Cool, we're in agreement then, because I get that there's a cost / benefit to every decision and I'm just explaining why Bioware might
want to include this change

. I'm not suggesting that it's sexist not to implement it, but it would be a good idea to nevertheless imo. (and as a business argument above all!)
I can also see that there's a difference between SP and MP, but in terms of PR Bioware is one company, and ME is a brand in itself - so it would be consistent for them not to overlook this. Look, I see many posts here from guys who don't get the reason that a female player wouldn't want to use the current banner(s), but to be honest, they're not people who I'm looking to convince - I suspect that my ability to light up their empathy button isn't good enough. All I can say is that as a player with three banner unlocks including the Lone Wolf and Biotic God, I personally don't want to display them - so I've gone with the 3rd, gender neutral one. I can see that there are others who feel the same way, so I think it's valid for us to express that feeling and gently ask if Bioware could please add something that would make everyone proud to display the banner. To those who don't care, or don't want another different choice, it's easy - just use the one that's there already and lay off those of us who do, please!
