1 Because I still saw it as shepard fighting against the reapers and not siding with them to find a solution that they wanted to have happended or offered

2 Because bioware didn't allow me to have the ending that I have in my signature

I chose Refuse because Starbratinger is wrong - and putting a bullet in its head is just too satisfying.

I chose refuse twice. Once by heroic speechifying and once by shooting the brainless git.

I chose refuse because I already got all the achievements and all the other endings suck.

Give me an epilogue and then we will talk.

I choose refuse because my Shepard would rather take a chance and try and beat the reapers in some other way, whether it be by using the crucible in a different way or not at all, than bear the responsibility of the outcomes of the other solutions, as described by the catalyst that is. If my Shepard would know the outcome of not accepting the catalyst's solutions is loosing the cycle he would probably choose destroy since i consider it the lesser of three evils.

I chose Refuse because it's the only ending where my Shepard doesn't get character assassinated.

So you are spoiled and didn't get what you wanted so you doomed your entire cycle who was counting on you using the Crucible to save them? Okay.

Funny enough - through ME3 I felt the character was taken away from me and was no longer my character - the refusal option at the end feels like taking back my character. It took 28 hours or something, but in the 29th hour, my Shepard came back for the last ten seconds of his virtual life.

I chose Refuse, because accepting Starbinger's logic is effectively accepting Reaper logic.
People who accept Reaper logic turned out to be indoctrinated.
I never wanted to be indoctrinated.
That is why I chose Refuse (in my first playthrough!). It felt just good, better than Destroy. To show him that he can shove his logic where the sun never shines!

That speech Shepard gives is without a doubt my favourite speech in the series. Haven't played ME1 yet unfortunatly due to having a PS3 so am only comparing it to ME2 and ME3. I'll be back in a month or two when i've played through ME1 and give the speech my final judgment ^_^.

the next cycle disagrees with shepard and chooses something because we see liara holovid and stargazer scene. and that is the big F you.

Well, being forced to that choice in reality, i would never pick control or horrific forced cyborgization.
Better to surrender to that crazy entity and then destroy them all, than let everyone die in completely lost war.

But as for game - Alt+F4 after Shepard refuse speech. I can't win in that game, so there is no point to finish it.
Well, i haven't played sinse ec, nor i plan to.

Hardly liara tells the next cycle the crucible did not work in our cycle so the next cycle probably found something new to beat them and yes this is my headcannon

And no I don't follow twitter so I'm fine with my headcannon

There is no evidence that cycle ever used the Crucible. And honestly I think the Reapers conqoured our cycle with a Pyyric Victory. They won but lost so many Reapers that their numbers are but a mere fraction of what they were before. So yeah... for the cycle after it was a piece of cake to win a straight up fight.

Generally I have no issue with metagaming, indeed, I often reload and play through different bits with an outcome that is best as opposed to what I believe.

The ending of ME3 is the first time in a BioWare game I've played where I refuse to let metagaming dictate my choice, and that its able to do that outside of the gaming environment is pretty awesome.

Because the endings mostly end up having to rely on speculation anyway even more heavily in destroy wether shepards lives or he or she is disabled for the rest of their life or if the leviathans try to take over since most of our forces and technology have been destroyed with our fight with the reapers just so much it is beyond measure

Yes because it feels to much like doing what the reapers want or having them hand you your choices and everyone who worked with the reapers haven't come out for it in the better before

Also I wish the ending in my signature was the offical ending ^__-

The endings are an abomination. Refuse from a logical standpoint makes the most sense. Destroy was my option from a gameplay perspective (achievements).

The fact that people are willing to jump into a beam of light to turn everyone in the galaxy into cyborgs, just because the main antagonist says so shows how messed up the endings are.

I chose refuse once to see what happened, but i usually go with destroy.

Still dont get how choosing that means I'm siding with the reapers, rather I'm using ancient plans against them and while it may cost friends and allies, its the only way to ensure those damnable reapers are no longer a threat.

Sure there was sacrifice, obviously, but its not like there's any other way tow in the war without near extinction level damage. The reapers are truly ELEs, the originals you could say :)

it felt good wiping them out
