ME1 and ME2 BOTH said you were up against impossible odds and in both games you win.ME3 should have been NO different.
You do win if you destroy the Reapers. ME3 is no different. Just getting to the Citadel was supposedly impossible. So don't give me that BS. Hackett is fighting the war. He KNOWS we are losing. He doesn't THINK we are losing. It IS happening. We ARE losing. And you KNOW this. You can lie to yourself and look like a loon all you want, but you KNOW you're full of sh*t. You can no more think conventional victory was possible than you could think water is dry and fire is wet.
You reveal the real reason you choose to delude yourself. You WANT a different ending. Tough. You're not getting a conventional victory. Deal with it.

Even though Destroy is not siding with them and is, in fact, the very antithesis to their entire plan.
1. The demise of the Reapers does not in any way, shape or form compromise with the Kid.
2. The demise of the Intelligence does not in any way, shape or form compromise with the Kid.
3. The end of the Cycle of Extinction does not in any way, shape or form compromise with the Kid.
4. The freedom to self-determinate does not any way, shape or form compromise with the Kid.
5. The continued coexistence of synthetics and organics does not in any way, shape or form compromise with the Kid.
In no way is Destroy siding with the Reapers. The Geth dying is your personal delusion which is based on absolutely nothing said or shown in the game.

We're getting caught up in semantics. I'm not cherry picking anything. You're confusing me with others in this thread that have stated "why they refused". I've participated in the thread, but I haven't stated any choices that I've made in the game, or which one I actually prefer over the other. The Twilight God wrote...

I remembered what the Catalyst said, but that was the original ending. At most all you can say now is that some synthetics may or most likely will perish. If those quotes you gave are accurate, then anything beyond that is speculation.
Most likely will perish? There is no distinction made between AI and any other technology. If you're going to say some AI or most will perish the same has to apply to ALL OTHER TECHNOLOGY because no distinction is made. You cannot cherry pick one particular subset and say that group will perish, but all the others who are ALL included in "technology you rely on" are exempt. Geth don't even really fit that description.
I said synthetics, not AI. Something that is produced and not organic, or at least that's what I meant.
Yes, saying some may or most likely will perish, is a fairly reasonable interpretation of what may happen if the catalyst says:
"But be warned: others will be destroyed as well. The Crucible will not discriminate. All synthetics will be targeted. Even you are partly synthetic..."
Although granted that interpretation is putting it a little lightly. You could say that some will indeed perish, going literally by the quote.
