I must sound pretty dumb by asking this but why does every resource file i create/open say "Read Only Copy - Changes Cannot be saved" on top of them? I cant even edit the scripts or items 
Im new to this DSO toolkit but im pretty familiar with the NVN2 one

All resource files are by default "Read Only". In order to edit a resource, right-click on the file ( e.g. script, item template, etc. ) and select the "Check Out" option from the pull-down list. This will create an writable copy of the resource that you can edit and save.

Well I did the same, but when I closed the toolset, then open again everything what i did were lost.

For example i made a new module, area but everything is in read only copy, and never opened it automatic.

you have to return to the file that you checked out and check it back in to save all changes, i think.

Nope. But if you open a file as a local copy (instead of checking it out), it's a convenient way to make a change and then export it without doing anything "permanent".
