I just want to see the first all elcor squad get to Wave 10 and get a pizza delivery objective on the far end of the map.

I've thought of elcor playable characters, which would make for a very interesting heavy damage/support low mobility role, but I do not think we will ever play an elcor.

Elcor would not be able to use normal weapons. It'll have a weaker but more rapid fire Hawk Missile Launcher (but fired manually) and a Self Replenishing Grenade Launcher that fires out a random grenade and reloads every 8 seconds. The grenades are random but cannot use Homing and Multi-Frag because they don't use normal grenade mechanics.

It's not that, it's the fact of it's compatabilty, its good on paper but in praticilty not so much.
A new skeleton would be required
How would they use their guns? Bear in mind it'd be the same guns as everyone else would use.
movment around the map, ladders, jumping down gaps.
Doing enabling/Disabling objectives and object recovery.
Being insta killed
Being revived
Taking cover

OP, take these points and consider them, please. How the hell are you supposed to run away from a Banshee or even get around a map with such a slow and bulky character?

They would need to be immune to sync kills, they are too slow to escape those enemies. I really don't think they would work out though.

Elcor infiltrator pls

ladder and dropping from hieght is no problem. Do not permit elcor to interact with those obstacles. All maps have an alternate route to get from point A to B

An elcor wouldn't ragdoll when down, they'd fall over on one side

Eclor would be able to crouch for a defense bonus (as oppose to taking cover) could also replace light melee function

To hack elcor could have a display pop up display in front of their face and to substitute the omni tool (crouching could be a possiblity during device hacks)

No sync kills to save everyone grief

Now that I've saved the internet its time to solve world hunger

Also elcor could only use AR's and snipers (because turrets)

They could be mounted on his back (right or left side) with his auto turret in the middle

To switch weapons camera would switch to either side

To equip the Cobra rocket

Auto turret would turn around to reveal your cobra rocket

Idea for the auto turrets evolutions: it could either end up being a low rof sniper equating to the mantis (alternatively the viper) or a high rof rifle like the phaeston (alternatively the vindicator)

His other 2 powers should be purely support

Defensive drone (wanders around healing allies)

Actually, now that I think about it, that could work.

ME1. Remember? Maps several kilometers large?

Re-introduce that, give us vehicles. Swap out the enemies for fast-moving heavies.

Done deal. Shouldn't be too much harder than adding a new regular map and certainly easier than designing Collectors. The coding already exists for vehicular combat.

I think something like an Elcor would have sync kill and stagger immunity but also be extremely slow.

I know what you mean, and am actually more of a battlefield guy myself (it just isn't futuristic like ME is) but mako was slightly off -topic? haha, that's fine ^^
