So,I'm wondering if Leliana makes an appearence in DA3 do you think she will be different based on the decision you made to not harden or harden Leliana.

I personally could never harden her, yeah sure I kill Maryolene every time,I do good for everyone by killing her but something literaly died inside of me when i heard Leliana say that she enjoys being a bard, killing people, and that she thinks the chantry is boring and not for her. That's just not Leliana for me,sure she is a bard and will always have that fun part of her personality but hardening her just doesn't feel right.

Now  in DA2 she ramains on the unhardend side no matter if you hardend her in DA:O.I think the developers figured out that if Leliana is going to play a major pro chantry role in DA3 she can't remain hardend,I think in DA2 she was very serius and dedicated, not a broken little gentle flower she was before she met the warden,I like that,I'm looking foward seeing her in DA3 as a more stronger and capable charather. The Warden made her strong, but I think hardening her just doesn't fit her role in DA3.She will always carry a peice of chantry in her heart, heck she will dedicate her life to being a chantry agent, and it seemed to me that when you harden her,she doesn't care about the chantry anymore.Anyways what do you think, how do you feel about hardening Leliana?

How is it that she appears "unhardened" in DA2? She doesn't seem to exhibit any sort of leanings one way or the other. She's there to do a job, and give some info.

She ceirtanly doesn't tell bard jokes and trying to seduce you and Isabella, the fact that she is there to do a task for the chantry with dedication and focus and not for fun and the game shows that she doesn't act hardened

Why would she try to seduce anyone? It's not like she sidled up to every character in DA:O with a come hither stare. And if Isabela is in the party, and Leliana was with the Warden at the Pearl (when they met Isabela), there is a humorous exchange.

Leliana is in DA2 to discuss some grim times and tidings. It's not really the time or place for smokey gazes and bawdy banter.

Why would I want to harden Leliana's mushy dead corpse?

Certanly a hardend Leliana wouldn't join the seekers and she wouldn't bother the grim times,a hardend Leliana is all about fun and the game and being a bard.

It has been hinted that she is not a Seeker. Working with them does not imply joining up. They may simply be a means to an end.

Well there is this interesting theory I heard that Leliana basically fakes her time with the Warden.

Other possibility is that, its been ten years, people change. Mordin, a companion in ME2, can be convinced of the wrongness of his actions temporarily, but quickly changes his mind again. Leliana's hardening may have been a temporary personality shift.

She is a chantry agent, even worse, the seekers don't care about the chantry that much while Leliana is the Divine's right hand

That's exactly what I'm trying to say,Hardening just doesn't fit Leliana, after the peroid of 10 years she simply goes back to unhardened

It's similiar to her working with the Warden. She didn't join the Wardens but she did work with them stopping the blight.

From what I've seen and read, Leliana appears to be a personal agent of the Divine. A Chantry version of a Spectre, if you will. I'm pretty sure she operates outside any standard chain of authority, regardless of whether she wears a Seeker outfit or a priestly robe.

Edit:  also, based on teh Leliana's Song DL, she knew the current Divine from before her time with the Warden.  Hardened or not, they're friends.

Hardened Leliana is still pretty damn pious. She doesn't completely abandon her faith. All you really accomplish is convincing her that life as a Chantry sister is boring, that subterfuge and stabbing folks is fun, and that it's ok to find it fun.

Leliana doesn't have different skills depending upon whether or not she is hardened. All that happens is she shifts her focus a bit. Her working for the Chantry is plausible regardless of her status.

Maybe she's a free agent working her own agenda.

Is this just a poorly-disguised Leliana-hate thread? <_<

Left hand, not right.

You could go ahead and make a "sinister" pun if you need to. She does the dirty work.

I never understand the "I couldn't" people. I've practically done everything humane and inhumane possible in ME/DA so far.

Considering that I chopped her head off in DA:O, she does seem pretty hardened by now. She is immortal now, it seems.

I think being left hand to the divine fits hardened more than unhardened. She's back to being a Bard, just for a different boss.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say "no way they'll bother to do that". Except if with "different" you mean maybe two different lines of dialogues. In which case... they won't do that either.

Perhaps they don't enjoy it.
