okay...so it is my understanding that game is supposed to auto-patch.....but I have tried running the game like 10x....and everytime it tells me I need to install the patch before I can use the multiplayer DLC. The config program also is still telling me I am running version 1.00. I cannot find any way to manually download the patch, either. Is there something I have to do in order to get the patch? I would appreciate a response. Thanks.

Start Origin --> got to the "my games" tab --> right click on the "Mass Effect 3" logo --> click on check for updates --> have fun.
You might need to update the multiplayer dlc's manually (though usually not). So if above doesn't do the trick:
Right click on the Mass Effect 3 logo --> sho game details --> scroll down to the Add ons and bonuses --> right click on the different dlc's --> check for update --> have fun
