How small is Thedas that these guys keep popping up? Damn near the entire cast of the previous games? Really? Fan Service Age 3, indeed.

Been like that since BG. You'd even end up locked up with the same three (popular) companions from BG1 even if you never used/recruited them in BG1. Popularity matters. SHOCKING!

But on a serious note: I'll never get my fan service. 'cause I want Loghain back. So I'm screwed either way.:crying:

Sten - He is the new Arishok after all... I think we may well see him in Inquisition.

I leave him dead in the cage....

Didn't they confirm Sebastien's story isn't over? Whether he'll be in DA3 or not remains to be seen but I'd put him in the maybe pile.
Isabela might not return, didn't she get qamek'd by Rasaan? Only read it from the wiki so I don't know.
I'd love to see Tallis. I know a lot of people don't like her, but I think her flaws, (or really lack of them, she was a bit of a Mary-Sue), could easily be ironed out, plus her story was left on a bit of a cliffhanger.

If Tallis does appear in the game it better be to kill her.

He is still just left for dead. Not a 100 percent certainty what happens after you leave..

No reason to bring him along? <_<

The only thing that make i want to see him in the cage is because of the exclamation mark above it, if not i will never bother to see someone in a cage, after all it ain't my problem, it is the town affair i don't want to get involve with

Will you take a look and chat with every person in a cage in all Thedas and free them all?

Edit : In Ostagar there is a guy in a cage but i cannot free him, why must i free a Qunari in cage in Lothering?

I'm guessing because either the Arishok is dead and Sten stepped up or The Arishok was killed by the other Qunari for failing to get the book back (since if you let him take Isabela, Varric says that she escaped with the book again) and Sten steps up to take his role.

I recall back when ME2 was coming out a frequently asked question was "Will Saren be back?" and the answer was "No. Dead is dead. If a character died in the first game than they will not be in the second." I am paraphrasing of course but anyway the point is that regardless of whether or not Zevran or Leliana are killed in Origins they appear in DA2. So if they are dead LEAVE THEM DEAD!!!! Not to sound cryptic but DEAD IS DEAD!!!! Of course this didn't bother me because all characters survived my game but for different Role-playing possibilities its seemingly a big middle finger to people.

In one playthrough of mine Zevran was dead in Origins and the mission wasn't available for me in DA2. He remianed dead for me, he didn't pull an Anders or anything like that.

There is apparently a reason for Leliana's resurrection (my guess is the ashes), Zevran was a bug. Other than that, I agree.

Huh. Well it seemed alot of people were experiencing something like this in their games. Maybe it was just a bug in the import. The whole "Anders thing" proves my point though. If a character is dead than stay dead. Unless they wanna have someone bring them back as an abomination than by all means go nuts Bioware.

It may have just been a bug, but I just looked on the DA wiki under Zevran and it says that if he is dead then the mission never appears in DA2 so maybe other people had the bug in their imports and not me.

I agree that dead should stay dead. Anders should have been left alone and remein dead as well as Leliana. I honestly think BW screwed up their own plans by making so many characters possible to kill.

It doesn't bother me too much though because in my canon I had everybody in DA:O, Awakening, and DA2 alive

I find it a bit amusing that if Anders is killed in Awakening than he comes back in DA2. Than if he is *SPOILERS* killed in 2. *SPOILERS* Does that mean he will come back again?

I had everybody live in Origins for my main character as well so it didn't bother me either.

My guess is that if Anders gets shanked in DA2 then he will return but it will actually just be Justice in the body (sort of like how he took Kristoff's body in Awakening).

Leliana was (possibly) revived by the ashes (she "died" right next to them after all), Anders states in DA II that during the Battle of Vigil's Keep, he found a corpse which looked like him but had had much of their face burnt off, used it as a decoy and fled the Keep. To be honest, I found it more irritating that he appeared when the Awakening epilogue slide said the Wardens were his everlasting companions.

Regardless, it's been confirmed that if Anders was killed in DA II, he's dead for good. It was also strongly implied that Justice/Vengeance survived, however.

I agree about the epilogue slide becuase many slides contradict what happened.

For example it says what you stated above about Anders and it says that Justice served the Wardnes for many years before he left Kristoff's body (Anders apparently merged with him less than a year after Awakening).

Regardless, it's been confirmed that if Anders was killed in DA II, he's dead for good. It was also strongly implied that Justice/Vengeance survived, however.

Like I stated above I believe Justice will assume direct control (like Harbinger) and inhabit Anders' body alone in DA3

I feel like they did a lot of this for the sake of telling the story. I understand some stuff must happen for the story to remain coherent but when you give us a choice it should be consistently represented.

Why not make content exclusive for players who made a certain choice in the previous game? And if they are unable to access a piece of content because of the choice they made give them some different alltogether. This may become to complicated in the long run and more expensive.

So if anything start some odd years in the future and give us new lore and a completely unrelated story. Than they can show are choices in the end game. Something like Origins but with cinemtatics. For the sake of the import a lot is being excused or written in to make sense.
