Well that was an incredible disapointment. Looks like an oncoming rehash after all.
Absolutely. The preview for "next" week (though, I bet it won't be until the mid-season finale) was basically a cut-n-paste from last season. Really? The Gov is a spectacular actor, by far the best on the show. (though, that doesn't say much, I'm afraid). I think we'll look back at this entire show and say that it was good but had so much wasted potential. At this point, I'm ready for the Gov to lay waste to the prison and all its inhabitants (maybe save Daryl) and a new chapter of the show with the Gov and his posse!

Honestly, the governor bores me. I almost wanted him to actually be a nice guy, and that Talking Dead episode last week nearly convinced me that he might be. But nope. Same old governor. Same scenario. Same cycle.
I'm mildly curious to know who's going to get killed off in the mid-season finale.

I was so excited by that episode, that I spent the last part of it looking stuff up on the Fallout wiki on my iPad.

Maggie and/or Glenn are pretty high priority candidates for that, far as I am concerned. Glenn in particular was overdue two episodes ago.
Hope it's them rather than Michonne, although that final shot this episode and what is to come...argh.

Anyways, I think the writing is great. I like the characters, and the acting. Is it without faults? Of course not. I was disappointed with the season 3 finale a bit, because the "war" they talking about ran away after a few gunshots. But now, you saw where the Govenor went after that. His psychological state, his new family. And now, the "war" is happening again. I think the show is interesting and exciting.
Glenn, Maggie, and Sasha could potentially die in the next attack(s), but I think it is more likely that Hershel, Bob, or Judith will die.

Just like the Honest Trailer says, I have no idea why I watch it. Lack of alternative, I suppose. And watching people's limbs be pulled off like a Thanksgiving drumstick.vortex216 wrote...
I know I posted this before, but why do people complain about things they like?! Or do they watch it just to complain...?

To me, it's the high-low factor: the good zombie killing parts are about 10% of the show, but those parts are REALLY good. That makes up for the other 90% (I'm counting commercials, too) that bores me to tears. I think this season is better than some of the previous ones, though that doesn't say much. The acting is generally laughable, the story arc is predictable, the dialogue is sooooo cheesy......but then, someone shoves a 7-iron up a zombie's a-hole and everything is good again.

Never really caught on to this. It's good given the script these people have to work with. Even Bryan Caston can look laughable if he was to recite the Resident Evil script.
I'm just disappointed they built up something and just threw it all so quick. It's not that the Govenor *didn't* "turn to the light side" it's that the Governor decided to go back to his old ways so quickly. Development is a gradual process, you're not the underdog one episode and the bad-ass superhero in the next. And even if you're eventually supposed to go back to square one, give it bloody time, please!

Got to question the practicality of keeping such a thing post-breakout at any rate: not a terribly high operation range and requires ungodly amounts of fuel.
That aside, I hope the cadet-missy got out of that mess. Shame about her friend.

Mh...I was wondering: anyone got an idea which kind of tank that was?

As for the tank... hell, I think I would keep it just for the hell of it. Which walker is gonna break into a tank?!

Edit: scratch that; as fitting as such a museum-piece would have been due to the name, it was rather an M60 Patton, by the looks of things. Compare this to this one shot from episode 7.
Triple the range of either tank first thought it to be - which still only translates to 300 miles, and requires an entire car-park's worth of fuel to run besides.
And how "useful" a tank proves we already see in one of season 1's first episodes, I believe: a nice, spacious coffin to put a bullet in one's brain, given the problems I mentioned above.

Daryl's parts were funny, even if a little too "FPS hero." He's so casual. Just walkin by, minding my own business, grenade down your tank gun... BOOM

Oh, that...
The 'meat-shield' was somewhat silly, given that assault rifles were leveled at him.
Generally speaking, about all of the crew getting away was...awkward. Couple more casualties of the main-cast would not have hurt.
