Danai (Michonne's actor) has a nice athletic looking body. Maybe it's just me but Danai is sort of maybe pretty.

She looks good and an athletic build. I'm not a dark black woman lover either.

So far Season 3 is a ton better than Season 1 and 2. My only concern is that after going so slow through the early material like the farm in seasons 1 and 2 (I think thats all of 12 issues in the comics) they seem to be blazing through the prison arc which is a huge chunk of the comic.

That, and how some characters who are pivotal in what made the Prison arc in the comic as memorable as it was aren't in the show (Tyrese). But David Morrisey did a great job as the Governor. That last shot was fantastic- it was like it was pulled right out of the comic. Great stuff.

I don't know anything about the comics, but the Governor seems like a right nasty piece of work. I mean, I figured there was something off about this guy (hell, he'd have to be crazy to make Merle one of his top men. LOL.), but... wow. He's pretty damn sick. Michonne sees through him, but Andrea is being a gullible fool once again. This will get ugly.

I agree. Normally, I don't find dark black women as being for me either, but there are a few dark black women that I've actually seen as pretty.

Now she's barely tolerable in her idiocy

To be fair to her, it's actually somewhat understandable for her to want to latch on to what appears to be a very successful village of survivors.

To the naked eye anyway.

She's been running for a while and has seen many people she cares about die. She's separated from her friends and has no idea where they are.

I think she just wants to settle down and doesn't want to admit that there's something off about the Governor.

Putting down roots in Woodbury doesn't really require getting crunk with the Governor, though. They've clearly got some demand for her informed ability to shoot a long rifle, for example.

Similarly, she didn't have to sleep with Shane, and honestly, by the point where she did, he was leaving pragmatism behind, headed for crazy. (I think evidently so; a person could put a lot of weight on his leaving with Otis and coming back alone. Dale certainly did.)

Andrea is one of the more regrettable departures from the comic, I think. She was a very stoic, capable character, and a real asset to the group. This version I think I'd leave behind if I could. Stretch the canned goods farther.

Indeed. I called two things that would happen during this episode. And the show has proven me right on one, and is leaning towards proving the other right as well.

**** has not only hit the fan, but been plastered all around the room.

edit: And it proved me right for the second as well. But definitely threw me a curve ball that I should've expected.

EDIT 2: Now, since the episode's over, it's time to discuss some things.

1) Why didn't Michonne tell Andrea about the trucks/cars having bulletholes with fresh blood in them?

2) Will there be a rift between Merle and the Governor regarding Daryl?

3) And as I expect Rick to do this, who else thinks he'll take T-Dog's words on Axel and Oscar to heart now that the prison was breached, T-Dog heroically gave his life to protect the others, and Oscar proved himself an ally when it came down to it?

4) Does anyone else also think that Rick will be seriously affected by Lori's death? The previews imply as much.

1) She and Andrea both plan to leave Woodbury, so Michonne might not feel the need to mention it right away. I'll bet if Andrea decides to stay, Michonne will speak up about it.

2) I'm not sure - I do expect Merle will leave regardless of whether the Governor approves or not, and I also expect Andrea and Michonne to tag along. It's possible the Governor himself might accompany them (he did offer to do so if Merle could find a more substantial clue), or at least have them followed. Whatever happens after that... will probably not be good.

3 & 4) I don't think Rick is gonna take in Oscar and Axel that easily - Lori and T-Dog are both dead, and Carol is MIA. He will be grief stricken and out for blood, and if the previews are any indication, even Glenn is not above his rage. He probably suspects Andrew was not acting alone (as do I) and will interrogate Oscar and Axel for answers... and I don't expect he'll rest until whoever else set this episode's events into motion has paid the ultimate price.

I can see Andrea tagging along, and Michonne probably going as well if only to stay with Andrea. But I doubt Merle and Michonne would get along well.

Unless he's become less of a racist since his disappearance. Though I've sadly missed Season 1 every time it was aired, so I'm actually not sure of what Merle's persona was. But the wiki or some other place said he had some very racist tendencies, and IIRC Daryl's hallucination of him had him displaying those tendencies.

But if the Governor did go with them... I'd be wary. Really wary. I would not trust a man who feigned a diplomatic meeting between himself and military survivors all to kill them and take their weapons. No doubt Michonne would feel the same way.

And if the previews are any indication, the Governor will find out that he cannot control her or sway her.

3 & 4) I don't think Rick is gonna take in Oscar and Axel that easily - Lori and T-Dog are both dead, and Carol is MIA. True, but taking into account what Gale -- one of the producers, I think -- said on Talking Dead, she thinks that they've indeed proven their worth to Rick. Additionally, Rick makes a subtle nod to Oscar as he surrenders the gun after using it.

So I'd think that's an indication of trust for him.

Axel? Maybe not so much, but I think he'd definitely trust Oscar now based on what they went through.

Now, I don't think Andrew was acting in league with another. Everything that happened seemed to be things he did himself. Certainly, we know that Oscar had nothing to do with it and I doubt Axel did either.

Damn, what an amazing episode. They've really stepped it up compared to last season.

Ep 2 was awesome, I was at the edge of my seat the whole episode. Ep 3 was OK, I kind of figured the Governor charactor was sort of a whack job in his pleasantville town, but I was not expecting the ending.

I enjoy this show, but have been real critical of the crappy acting and slow moving story. I will admit that last episode was by far the best I've seen since the very first episode, if not better. It was spectacularly intense and the acting was actually pretty decent even good...

So in a magazine article on TWD that I read earlier today, they said that the higher-ups for making the show said the Governor's going to be moving towards the prison very soon.

We all know that's going to happen, of course. But I think the episode coming up on Sunday will start progressing towards that.

He won't. Robert Kirkman has gone on record to say that Tomas in the show was essentially Thomas from the comics.

Watched season 3 , it's pretty good .
I didn't watch season 2 , too boring .

But there's always some stuff i don't really like ...before everything was too slow , now everything goes too fast.

The last episode , I wasn't really convinced that cutting open the pregnant lady was the way to go.
She was in labour for what ?Not even an hour....
She was losing some blood but nothing that requires knife on the spot.
Same with T Dog ,you have to wonder why they bother to create his character in the first place...

For the rest of the season , I wonder if some stuff will follow the comic.
A nasty thing happens to Rick ,and I can imagine how it could play out nicely in the T.V show ( Merle's payback ).

Future episode might be interesting for the group dynamic , Rick is losing it a bit , Darryl will probably face his brother and have to make a choice , Andrea is pissed to have been left behind , Michonne have trust issue ,Hershel without his leg might end up being a deadweight .
There's also the prisoners , (in the comics , something really really bad happens with one prisoner)...
Plenty of stuff ahead but I can't imagine it lasting a whole season at this pace.

What?!

No way, I swear I saw an image of an actor playing as him.

It would be so amazing with him stalking the prison....

Walking Dead's off to a great start so far. Rick going on a Walker killing spree, The Governor's "daughter", and Michonne with her katana.

Though they seem to be giving Michonne the idiot ball when it comes to talking to Andrea. Hopefully the rest of the episode will change that

Nope, didn't change it. Michonne failed to mention Walker Penny or the fresh blood she found on the military vehicles.

But Carol survived, as we see with the previews. Daryl sees something that shows Carol's alive. A knot knife. Along with Rick's phone call from a mysterious person, and I really wish it was next week already.

EDIT: Turns out he says "We're dying here" so it's probably Dexter from the comics -- or some equivalent with a different name.

It's really a shame how when he went looking for Lori's body he finds that it's been devoured by a Walker. If he had Lori's body, that might've been able to give him some closure and get him back to his senses. But without her corpse and with only the bullet... I fear what Rick might do.

No way, I swear I saw an image of an actor playing as him.

Nope. Tomas is Thomas.

Why do I get the feeling Lori is still alive?

They didn't show Carl shoot her.

They didn't show the zombie actually eat her.

Even though the producers said she was in the stomach, it could just be a PR stunt.

I don't know if an episode can top Ep. 2 "Guts".

The pilot and the following episode were just masterful.

He actually said "Carol's knife" - but yeah, the implication is that she's still alive.
It's kinda odd how they gave up the search for her so early, even digging (and filling) her grave.

Minor spoilers:
Based on the comic series, the phone call is actually just in Rick's imagination.

I don't know about Carol ...
Nothing proves she's dead , but what's the point of keeping her alive?
From a narrative point of view , just wondering what it's supposed to bring to the table.
Her character , after losing her daughter , needs to move forward ...
So are they doing this to just put Daryl and her together "Omg I thought you were dead !"
"I'm not! Kiss me you fool!"

Or maybe to segregate her from the group (like Andrea) , because I guess when she will see her grave and no search party , she may be a little bit upset.

Carol and Daryl have had, needless to say, extremley rough lives. I don't blame them for pursuing each other romantically.
