That is you. Alot of players wanted to leave it at U/U/G and find matches that way, but when camping was going on so much it became a problem.
Bull Pucky again!! Most of the players that complained are right here... I never heard one person complain in the lobby for FBW...
I disagree respectfully.
Again that is you andmost lobbies dont have full mics so you wouldn't know.
To add to this, most people and I who hated FBWGG exited on sight. We exited so fast you probably couldnt get our tags. I have no problem with camping or farming, but when camping takes a game and reduces it to who can press B the fastest there is something wrong. FBWGG setup funneled every enemy into one point (for some reason they rarely took the back) and while thats fine from a player and tactical standpoint, it makes for a boring game.
On BSN, a community where more passionate player gather,it is more likely one will see a higher number of skilled players. Most of these players slogged through bronze and silver, maxed out their commons and uncommons and at some point made the decision to move on to gold, struggled through that and find they could succeed. They have earned those credits and have the proven ability to take on tougher challenges
When the top difficulty (at the time) can be beaten by anyone then it's clearly not hard enough. Hell, i think bronze was marketed as hard if you go by campaign standards. Silver is where most people should be comfortable. What FBWGG did was allow any player to enter gold and know they will win. No game is fun like that. Games and players are at their best when its challenging. Also, you get entry level players (who are not ready) in gold boasting about how easy it is, but once **** hit the fan or they play a different setup (such as the 4 nodes and escort objectives), they went down fast and were a burden. Initially, i thought FBWGG was a good way for a player to become accustomed to gold. But, overtime i regretted that opinion.
While I can understand why people would farm and camp, the low risk high reward is certainly attractive, I personnaly feel that 80% of the lobbies I joined should not be FBWGG, and to people that say host, it took quite a while for lobbies to fill up, in most cases it was faster to join and quit. One map and setup should not centralize the game, thats why the devs, for better or worse make balance changes. I just think of the shifted map as a balance change and i'm fine with it. A good player will adapt. On a side note, this is why I wont be very vocal about changing the recent additions such as the geth bomber or dragoon, I feel like i lack the necessary experience to comment. But, dont get me wrong, I will definitely complain.
In my opinion, camping the whole game should never be the definite go to strategy. Defending an area is fine, but the game should be challenging enough that eventually that area, barring exceptional skill or teamwork, would be overrun. Every strategy should have risk, pros, and cons.
