No, I wouldn't (and don't) trust either of them, to write/head-up the next game, as far as I could throw them.

Yes.

In short I trust them both, people need to get over it already.

After how Casey lied to the ME fans about ME3's ending? No, I don't trust him. I can give Mac Walters another shot, though.

Tough call for me. On one hand, I'm big on second chances, and they've done good work in the past. But on the other I'm still not over what happened with 3, and still not happy with the ending even with the EC.

I'll trust my turtle who is in fact dead, before I trust Casey and Mac.

Casey and Mac? I guess so, as we've no official statement on who did what.

The writer who wrote ME3s main plot and ending? Certainly not.

Same goes for whomever set ME3s release date. Both people should stay as far away from ME4s development as possible.

Does it make me a bad person if I say no.

Casey is a damn good game director, ME1, 2, and 3. Along with KOTOR, that's a great record. So I'm looking forward to whatever he's doing next.

Mac is a solid writer, he goofed on the end of ME3, but everyone makes mistakes. I'll give him another shot.

This is very, very true but it still does not change the fact that I hate ME3 with a passion and to this day I am still struggling with how the same eople who created ME1 and ME3 also created ME3 a game I despise with every fibre of my being.

The thing about ME3 is that Bioware knew fans were execting with ME3, the knew what they had to do with the story, the charcters, the gameplay ( combat, exploration, converstaions and charcater interactions ) and the maor choices thatgamers made in the previous games and yet they chose to ignore most of these things in ME3. How can I every truist these eople ever, ever again.

On a slighly different note I also don't trust EA with the ME franchise either. I also don't like this trend I am seeing with dlc in games, I have always been suspicious of dlc ( ME2 is the only game I own that I have gladly bought dlc for ), Leviathan and Omega feel too much like they were deliberatly held back from the main game ( they should have been in there from the start ) and I am not down with game developers cutting content from the main game to sell to us later for extra money ( or developers shiping an incomplete game and having to pay extra for th erest of the game ).

That's a tough question, OP. Casey Hudson is a very skilled director/manager. Despite all the lies he said about the ending, I suppose I feel comfortable knowing he leads ME4 development -- that is, so long as he doesn't write anything without peer review from the other writers on the team.

As for Mac Walters, well, I can't trust a man who writes an article called: "The Road Map to Love and Happiness," knowing that he butchered the main character like a pig at the end of the story... He has to do a lot to get my respect back.

At any rate, BioWare should hire a very good narrative director for ME4 to keep the lead writer(s) and the director on a "leash."

I might give Casey a chance as a game director, he did direct ME and ME2 after all. Walters is a great character writer, but he's not good at writing plots, if he went back to writing great characters and never ever ever put a finger on the plot again I'll give him a shot aswell.

I find it hard to trust people who make numerous post-gold pre-release statements that are packed with lies. So no.

Honestly, it's going to be a tough sell (for me) no matter who is involved in it.

All I've said so far is that I won't be able to pick up a game that shares the same lead writer.

Personally I think a new team should write me4. I think a fresh perspective is needed, along with a detailed codex to help ward off plot holes.

At this point I wouldn't trust Bioware in general with another Mass Effect game

I'm just wondering: did ME3 even have the narrative director? I know Armando Troisi left for Halo after ME2, and I don't really enjoy the ending of ME3, so I always skip the credits.

I mostly doubt it because there suuppose to keep the lead writer in check with the plot and with everything going on with Mac and Casey, it does feel like they got a new one and just winged it

I also skipped the credits on every game

I'm afraid not, now if they put Weekes in charge or managed to lure Drew Karpyshyn back I'd consider it.

Nope. I'm not going to buy any of their products without watching a complete Let's Play first because they have proven that they will tell any lie to shift more units.

If you want me to trust Bioware again, heads will have to roll, starting with Paul Silverman and Casey Hudson.

I still wouldn't.  Not unless I knew for fact they didn't have Saw movies playing in the background of their brainstorming sessions. Or decided Red Dad Redemption was the awesomest rpg on the market.  Or something equally silly.
