Its metacritic score will be in the low nineties like the majority of AAA games.

My prediction: The game is released, fans are satisfied because Bioware does listen to us, the major gaming review sites are still in DA2 mode so they give the game low scores in fear of the backlash they got before.

Basically I think no matter how good the game is, they will give the game low scores because of the rediculously high scores DA2 got. (My favorite was PC Gamer UK saying it will be the best RPG of the decade). Has anyone noticed all the major sites going back on their praise for the game originally? That mixed with the ME3 mess spells bad news.

So I think the game will be good, the fans will love it, but reviewers will give bad scores anyway.

Prediction?
More like wild speculation.

I agree this is sadly very likely. Look how badly the DA2 DLC were received compared to the main game. It should be a no-brainer the DLC were more polished than the main game, yet they kept making up arbitrary reasons why the DLC wasn't good in comparison to the original campaign without retconning their previous review of the game.

I think one review site more or less said Legacy is absolute crap because of lack of family-based content. Which is a hilarious statement no matter which way you slice it, I think.

"We hated on BioWare and their evil EA-mongering ways! Are we cool now, are we cool now!?"

Going purely off of gamer's instinct: It will likely be on par with Dragon Age: Origins, but will not be setting an enormous precedent on the industry.

90-93.

EA game with AAA marketing budget. Professionals will give it over 9000 perfect scores.

Forum wars will continue. Both sides claim, that silent majority is on their side.

Given the disparity between user and review scores for DA2, I suspect DA3 will be viewed and reviewed with a critical eye by everyone. Given that many of us will be waiting for reviews before biting on this one, I certainly hope that's the case. In any case, I genuinely hope that Inquisition is good enough to justify great scores right across the board.

It'll probably get good scores from 'professional' reviewers, doesn't matter to me because I'll be looking for consumer reviews before I even consider getting this game.

Concidering the professional reviews I've seen with both Mass Effect and to some extent, Dragon Age 2, it will be probably be on a high end of the scale.

Honestly, I'd rather ask my game design classmates and professors in my Uni first for their opinion, before looking into the said professional reviews and the metacritic score.

Given the longer development time than DA2, probably higher than it.

So generally sonewhere in the 80s, I suppose.

The "professional" reviews will probably give it some really good scores. The fans will probably react better than ME3 and probably DA2 but not sure if it will be any outstanding reactions

I don't really know, frankly I actually don't care. Its what my friends think about the game that matters to me. Oh and Dutch review sites. They are the only ones who actually look at games objectively.

It will be mixed. The areas of complaint from DA2 will be rectified, but streamlining elsewhere will have occurred and the impact of choices will be low. Also, we won't get to play our Warden or Hawke and Morrigan won't be romanceable so there will be a lot of crying about that.

It'll either be really great, a return to form for BioWare or it;ll be really bad and BioWare will finally learn its lesson. I can't see it going any other way.

Well, we can be certain that the forums will be filled with hate, venom, and so on, but that seems to be normal. It will be especially true after release as those of us that enjoy the game are doing just that, enjoying the game. Those who don't enjoy the game will have nothing better to do than get online and write extensive tirades about all the things they don't like.

Postive or negative, the "professional" reviews will all be as worthless as they always are.

I would think a demo to be a given, considering the only BW games to not have demo's that I know of are ME1 and DA:O. :P

Though it did take BW several months after ME2's release to make one, DAII's and ME3's are both prerelease.

As for the prediction? Counting out both the groups who will hate it regardless and love it regardless, it's a difficult thing to predict. BW knows a lot is riding on DAIII right now, due to the critical fan reception of ME3 and DAII, they know they can't afford to screw this up.  I expect fan reaction to be leaning slightly toward positive since people don't seem quite so hyped over the release of this game. But that's just from what I can tell so far. We still don't have any concrete gameplay to see yet.

A demo would be a very bad idea considering the fact that every leak Bioware has had with their games came from demo's.

Better to be a pesimist and be pleasantly surprised than being an optimist and hoping for the best then being dissapointed.

I don't follow "reviewers". I have disagreed with their assessment far too often. There are two that share many of the same tastes as I do, but they still do not have a perfect record when it comes to games that I like or dislike.

In the midst of all these comparisons thrown around the forum (one at the time of this post), I'm doing my best to start with a clean slate in my anticipation for DA3:I. I was hoping for DA:O with the 2nd DA, and I think that affected my opinion more than it probably should have affected it.

I want to give DA3:I a fair shake on its own merits regardless of the previous DAs games. I won't be able to completely ignore the enjoyment I got and (in my opinion) the quality of the previous games any more than I can avoid comparing my enjoyment from one game to the next with completely different genres, but I can certainly try.

Well, for someone who loves being thoroughtly spoiled by leaks I have no such problem with demos. Also I can check if the game will run on my laptop. For me it's a win-win.

prediction for critical response? are you kidding me? WHO CARES???? why not draw up an imaginary sales chart to display with an imaginary power point detailing everything you think a bioware power point would have! fun!

We're now at the bottom of the barrol here, c'mon bioware these poor creatures need actual game info they can complain about instead of.....this!

I think review sites will be slower to add points just because it's Bioware, but if the game delivers, they'll say so. Of course, like players different reviewers value different qualities in games so I'd expect a range of responses.
