People seem to keep saying this but I don't understand... how is Soloing Platnium easy?

Also, I've noticed people mention "skipping" Challenges, but still getting the banner/Gold challenge completed... is this true, and if so, why even an option? Doesn't it demean from the whole "Challenge" part of the Challenge?

Note: Soloing Platnium and lower may make this the fastest Mastery, but does not make it the easiest to obtain, given you need the skill to actually.... youknow, do that.

You only need to get the vast majority of a challenge section done to unlock the banner.
For Solo Mastery, that could be the one Platinum.
For my Mathmagician banner, I skipped on Geth Turret, Shadow Strike, and Electric Slash for reasons of not having them yet.

If you look at the numbers, you'll see that it doesnt actually require you to complete every single silver challenge to complete the gold challenge above it. You can skip a few.

You don't need to solo platinum to get Lone Wolf. I want Bioware to make platinum solo obligatory. Now too many use easy mode battlemaster vs geth or infiltrator classes on gold.

Elitist who like to brag about the size of their virtual manhood are usually the ones who have the gall to call it 'easy'. Oh and how right they are, what kind of pathetic noob can't solo platinum? Or Gold, even? Loser.

Solo Mastery is ridiculously easy, Bioware might as well just be giving that title away to anyone who downloads the content. No challenge whatsoever.

/sarcasm.

It's "easy" because it doesn't take to long to achieve provided that you can actually do it. That and SMG Mastery if you're willing to play with guns no-one likes.

I cheesed one of my Gold runs with the KV, but then used the BroSent on the other one, so I guess it's even, cranked it out the easiest way (Gold, Silver, Bronze, no Plat) for the first time. I want to do platinum though, just for completionist's sake. My most recent attempts with the Krogan Soldier failed on Wave 9 (ran out of medigel) and Wave 7 (used no medigel, turned wrong corner, executed). I would like to try again soon but as of now I have no incendiary ammo.

No, thanks. I'll keep my rightly and hardly earned Lone Wolf, thank you very much.

Dunno about a platinum solo but at lease two mandatory golds yes.

Only three of the four sub-challenges need to be completed for the Solo Mastery challenge so you can skip Platinum and obtain the banner by doing 2 Gold, 3 Silver and 5 Bronze matches.

Um I don't see where it's easy. It makes you play a coop game by your lonesome. I myself won't be doing the platinum one. Heck I play gold all the time and don't know if I can do it by myself. I just did a solo silver for the first time the other day. I didn't get it cuz the stupid brute nicked me out the circle and I raged quite after that

Kroguard + Cyclonic IV + Lightweight Shotgun + Geth = easy Gold solo... do it as many times as you need to.

I did one that way and another with a Human Soldier/Wraith...

Will try it with Kroguard, but tried to solo silver for first time since update and everytime I went down because either the Dragoons massed and got me or I spent so long concentrating on killing them I got synch killed by Phantom. I think I will stick with my Dog of War banner :)

Yeah, solo mastery is pretty easy (heck, I got it) but man it's hard to stay sane for hours of grinding...

Well, Solo Mastery is the easiest by far, almost everyone can solo gold and platinum is not required.

Well, at least I got my banner soloing platinum 2 times.

I used to avoid solos then i soloed bronze/silver/gold.
And yes it is easy if you played the game for some time, no need of regularity (although it helps a bit)
There was a thread already on how to complete this challenge easier.
Currently the best characters for solos in my opinion are Ghost or Kroguard, both have shield recharging abbilites and huge shield capacity.
Reapers currently are weakest of all factions that's not an opinion that's fact.
Consumables: unexpected tends to happen don't forget your gels and missles at home.

Yes, the ones that haven't done it yet is because they haven't tried enough.

THere you have Reegar + Krogan Vanguard against geth, easiest thing ever.

I would hope you're joking, since the majority of Gold games I get matched into can't be finished with 4 people... majority can solo gold seems like pushing it @_@

And when the game hates you and gives you a Disable-Four-Objectives mission? To do alone without interruption four times in, what, 5 minutes?

Impossible to fail against Geth with this setup.

I hate soloing. I'm going for my mathemagician and the biotic god after that.

If that happen to you run to the opposite site of the map until the enemy get near you, then run back to the disable device.

Most of Public games fail doing this objective because they do the FATAL mistake of stay all together next to they guy doing the disables instead of going to another side to call for enemy's attention.

Solo gold does not require a very big level of skill, but it require a little bit of knowledge of the game, situational awareness.

Kroguard/Ghost, nuff said. If it's not the easiest, it can be the fastest to gain challenge points. 1 plat counts for 1 gold and 1 silver 1 bronze, another gold counts for 1 silver/bronze, and so on. mean while you get all the points yourself so faction mastery will be done in no time. But for me, I just play for fun.

Man **** that. The only reason we got platinum is because of mad complaints from the uber squad on the bsn about wanting **** harder. And why does it bother you if someone gets the banner by only soloing the original bronze silver and gold difficulties? Hell I give mad respect to anyone that gets the banner no matter what character they use or faction they fight.
