Unfortunately a lot of people don't have this stuff .  But Gold can be soloed even without top of the line stuff.  I remember I soloed Gold a couple months back with a Reegar IV, Cyclonic 3, Shotgun Amp II, Stronghold Gear, and Armor Piercing II.  Against Geth of course.  It took me about 40-50 minutes to do it.  I got really lucky with the objectives.

I just got Lone Wolf today, and it is in fact the easiest I've done so far. The game is just really boring when you play alone, especially gold and up. As said many times, Krogan Vanguard cannot fail gold unless you walk in with zero rockets and medi-gels.

I just tried my first Gold Solo today in order to work towards "Lone Wolf". Kroguard on Glacier vs Cerberus. Did fine until I got swarmed by Dragoons during Wave 6 Hack circle and eventually sync-killed by a Phantom that I missed, while being occupied with the Dragoons

It's "easy" because the only issue is the broken gates. There's no AI change, so what is effective remains effective.

It's straighforward and each faction can be culled by fool proof strategies.

Thus, "easy."

teams of 4 can't even extract on consoles, let alone solo.

I would say 80% of the playerbase on consoles can't even solo Silver, with or without Kroguard

Solo Master is NOT the easiest Mastery to complete. It's probably one of the toughest. The thing about it, though, is that it's the quickest to complete if you know what you're doing. My first Gold solo that I actually completed, I went FBW/Geth with a Kroguard, running Piranha X, Shotgun Amp III, Adrenaline Module something and Stronghold Package V and I barely made it through. I just have a couple Silver solos left for the Lone Wolf banner, but I'm too lazy to do them.

 I am apparently one of the few on here that find gold hard to solo. I gave it a try after reading the help threads that were popping up that day. I took a kroguard with reegar X and juggernaut shield 4( strongest shield boost I had) against geth on hazard reactor. Only made it half way through wave 2. I didn't use my medigel because I figured if I as going down that soon I would have enough to finish the match.
Next I took the same setup but lowered it to silver. I made it through extraction but it cost me. I used around 3 medi gels and most of my rockets. Then on extraction I ran to the other side of the map and waited until 30 seconds, ran back, took cover and just spammed survival ops until extracted.

I would hope you're joking, since the majority of Gold games I get matched into can't be finished with 4 people... majority can solo gold seems like pushing it @_@

THere you have Reegar + Krogan Vanguard against geth, easiest thing ever.

And when the game hates you and gives you a Disable-Four-Objectives mission? To do alone without interruption four times in, what, 5 minutes?

That's my problem with soloing. I can handle soloing the hordes (at least up to gold), but I absolutely can't deal with the kiting and hitting really unfortunately placed objectives by myself.

There's a glitch which people are exploiting to get solo mastery relatively easily. (Also, Solo Mastery is the only one you can do on your own over a weekend if you're already good at soloing).

90% of the people on BSN can barely solo BRONZE.
There is a difference between "most good players can solo gold" and "most players can solo gold" a BIG difference...

You don't need to do platinum for lone wolf. Only 3 of the 4 need to be completed.

The Lone Wolf banner is not easy to get...anyone who has the patience and skill to solo Gold is a damn good player and truly deserving of their banner.
It is the quickest banner to get if you have the skill but only if you have the skill.
So congrats all you Lone wolves you are a skillful and persistent bunch!

and the easier to get is the mathemagician and biotic god.. powers fill really fast, if will go for it, you can get in no time...

The only pain of soloing is the objectives. It's easy killing enemies and such, but can be a pain when you are just crouching there enabling/disabling devices, can't even use an ops pack.

Anyway, just got to finish 1 more silver and then 5 bronze games, and Lone Wolf will be added to my collection. Although I doubt I'd be using that, as I love my Death Guard banner too much.

Solo-ed 3 silver matches against geth after reading this thread. The hacking 4 objectives is a hugeee effing pain in the ass. Got them on all 3 matches. Found out that Glacier is not a good place for me. too small to lure enemies far enough for me to cap the 4 objectives. :/ White was a lot easier though, lots of space to lure.

You would have a much easier time if you use Cyclonic III or IV instead of Adrenaline.

Solo-ed for the first time. With the Kroguard
Game gave me probably the best objective waves i could ask ... 2 hacks and 1 targets. And hacks were the easiest. I just had to stand inside the area killing geths like I would be doing in any other place of the map
I admit. It was easier than I thought ...

I am pretty sure that Cerberus Gold on Glacier is nearly impossible(or you need a lot of luck) if you get the 4devices on wave 6 with Dragoons.

I actually think if someone solos Cerberus/Gold/Wave6 with 4Devices he should get an additional badge
This is a nightmare scenario and should be avoided at all costs. I completed the 4devices on FB Giant, there it is possible to kite the Dragoons just long enough, but they still can catch you just when you finish disabling the device.
FB Reactor was too small the Dragoon would always arrive before I disabled the device.
