Yeah. Just snobs claiming its easy. Hell I don't have a problem soloing bronze or silver but I wouldn't dare call it easy. Even bronze, you have to play smart (unless you're playing a kroguard or male quarian or de,olisher or some other super tank or nuker) or youl use all your consumables. I did a couple drell adepts on bronze and I had to gel a vew times because I did something stupid (and he's so damn unforgiving. I mean I consider myself (unless I'm having one of my all too common off nights) a pretty strong gold/plat player, but I have yet to successfully finish gold solo. I haven't given it many real serious tries, and I've yet to kroguard it....but I'm a pretty aggressive player and tend to get downed for stupid reasons (which makes solo gold an instafail).... I'm sure I'll get it eventually, but I frankly don't think anyone can honestly say its easy. I'm sure it wasn't easy for them the first few times so they are just being snobs (by claiming something they have plenty of practice at is easy). It would be like mocking somebody for not being able to play the violin (when they've never so much as touched one). Its just bragging. (Which is fine, its a game, they don't call em "bragging rights" for nothing)

This is a nightmare scenario and should be avoided at all costs. I completed the 4devices on FB Giant, there it is possible to kite the Dragoons just long enough, but they still can catch you just when you finish disabling the device.
FB Reactor was too small the Dragoon would always arrive before I disabled the device.

Actually I did the 4 pylons on my Glacier/Gold on wave 6. Even on my TGI/Harrier, it was... ugh.

'Kill 3 Dragoons+1 Phantom, start hacking, stop because Centurions caught up and has thrown a grenade, clear the area, then restart hacking the pylon. Then reclear the area because 3 Dragoons respawned and are on you.'

I managed to clear it, but had only like 3 medigels left because I simply sacrificed a medigel to finish the objective and didn't move to kill the enemies.

Don't know if this is related with my recent post or not. I'm no snob and I didn't said it was easy. "It was easier than I thought"  Either way, evetything is cool.

I did Kroguard, Giant, Geth, 55min. And had to struggle a lot to accomplish that. But remember, my first ever solo gold.Feels good. Now I want to try it again and not with the krogan. Now I want to accomplish with a completely different play style.

A lot of people don't want to try it because of their experience with 4-player gold/platinum. With only one player there are fewer enemies to fight and objectives scale as well. It is easier than most people think (but not saying it's easy).

How would you spec the krogan vanguard to solo against the geth?

Out of all the mastery, solo mastery is the one that requires you to play gold (except for the 25 extraction on Gold thing). The rest you can just farm bronze and still get the banners for them. So I'd say at least it gives a baseline idea of how adequate a player carrying that banner is.

The objectives part is at least not entirely wrong. The hacking is as fast as when you have a full squad and 4 ppl hacking. At least here the game recognises that only one player is in the game and changes the hack-time accordingly. Wouldn't want to stand there forever like when it's 1/4 hacking. I think (might be wrong on this) that the escort mission is also as fast as when 4 ppl are standing in the drone's circle. But the disable/activate 4 pylons and kill 4 enemies objectives are the same.

You know what I mean. If 100% of a full team  (4 players) is in the hack circle, it will go as fast as 100% of players in a solo run (1 player).

That's not what I'd call scaling. Scaling for solo would mean fewer enemies (or enemies with less HP), hacks going faster than when you are in full team, etc..

 nah, not you at all...  just the people being dickish about it.  easier thn i thought is one thing.....  saying its just plain easy is just bragging.    just sympthising with  vst mjority of players who get put down by people who do avenger only solo platinum twice before brekfast.

It is easy. Gold is the new bronze. You don't have to do platinum. This is why i'm focusing on a even better challenge. Lonewolf banner will be overused.

I just used Turian Ghost with Cerberus Harrier against the Reapers on Giant.

Just run the map clockwise to the next ammo crate when the Banshees start to get close and take potshots at the smallfry whenever you can. Just use some good equipment and make good use of your stimpacks. Not the fastest way, but pretty damn easy.

I managed to solo as Kroguard vs Geth on FBW, Silver. Reegar, Shotgun amp and Beserker or Juggernaut gear (I can't remember). Very much a melee build, Reegar as backup. Not sure I could have done it if I'd had a 4-hack objective wave.
Took it to Gold, with Incendiary ammo and Cyclonic mod, failed on wave 5. I'm guessing I should focus more on shields and shotgun damage.
Man I hate those *@%!?* bombers.

RedJohn, I know you're respected as a great player but do you realize how condescending you sound? 

For the vast majority of players soloing Gold is extremely difficult or impossible, even with a Kroguard. Maybe not for you. Maybe not even for players on your friends list, who probably include Anderson Silva and Chuck Norris. I know for you it's a cake walk, but when you take that tone it's discouraging to players who aren't 1%ers.

Nomad (map mastery) also requires Gold rounds.

And lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of them...  Even pre-patch when I played exclusively Gold PuG no consumables, it would have taken me forever to get that banner, and it's the one I want most right now. So sad.
